Overall I was very pleased with this episode. Yes, my heart sank when I saw Jar Jar, but he wasn't overdone, and when he acted with his usual goofiness it was at least used as a strength to forward the story, not a hinderence or a distraction, and I didn't really find it jarring that the death scene and juggling act were juxtaposed together, and it didn't feel as kiddish this time, there was something almost Bruckheimer about it. Disney, but mature Disney. If that makes sense. What struck me about this one was that it centred on either previously unknown characters or minor characters, so we had no idea how it was going to end, and I almost cheered when Di died. Okay, that sounds bad, but you get my point. It's a big galaxy, a war spanning hundreds of worlds, it can't just be the same six or so people fighting it. For that reason I wouldn't feel dirty watching again, I may even enjoy it! _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.
