Kit and Aayla were a couple? I didn't know that. Me, I have no problems with interspecies relationships, however, I do wonder about some. I mean, can a human really look at a Bothan or Wookiee and seriously think "sexy"? Maybe it's a hair fetish. At least with a Twi'lek they have a human body and face, just weird ears and those two tail appendages on their head. Rodians however have a very different look going on.

Yeah, I have no problem with Twi'lek/human relationships and other similar ones, but say the whole Bothan/human thing in the X-Wing series? Ewwww. *shudders*

I wonder if they will incorporate that relationship into TCw, since they seem to love their romance lately...

I thought attachment was forbidden. Confused

I'm beginning to think that the OJO thought that attachment ban was just a suggestion. :D

Yeah, it does seem to be more like a guideline than actual rule, considering that's basically every Jedi who seemed to be in some kind of relationship. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Kit, Secura, even Yoda (you know he liked Yaddle).

Yep, the OJO is racking up a score here on the attachment scale. LOL

But see...they need to be careful, because if they turn it into this, "Oh, no big deal", thing...then that just completely ruins the entire PT storyline! The whole point was that Anakin was afraid of losing Padme, but didn't feel he could tell even Obi-Wan about it, so it grew into the dark monster that he became. All due to the Jedi's strict rule on attachment. Confused

So...it could be humorous, but it could also cheapen the entire powerfulness of the Star Wars prequel saga. Neutral

I actually agree that if Anakin had been allowed his attachement things would've been easier

It wasn't so much that Anakin was attached to Padme that was the problem. Obviously we had other OJO Jedi experiencing attachment, but in the right perspective from a Jedi POV. Out of all the Jedi mentioned only Anakin succumbed to the darkside because of attachment. I think this was a combination of attachment to his mother (and losing her) and his apprenticeship starting late. But mostly I think it has to do with his great Force connection. It's stated in some of the books that Anakin would feel the Force burning inside of him; it seemed like more connection than he could handle. It drove him and I think one way or another he would have fallen to the darkside because he wanted the power.

The added whisperings and influence of Palpatine didn't help keep him away from the Dark Side either, of course. But I think Palpatine set it up perfectly in using Anakin, who would start his training late and not be totally indoctrinated into the Jedi mindset like those who are basically trained from birth are.
