Should the GFFA interact with or travel to other galaxies in post-FOTJ novels?

ronbond007 Padawan Joined: 10 Nov 2008 Posts: 97 Location: CANADA It took the Vong 50 years to reach another galaxy but maybe not for the GFFA especially since they have black holes and hyperspace wormholes connecting far distant regions of the GFFA and maybe other galaxies. I just thought it would be fun if in one novel or adventure the Big 3 and co. are in the Millennium Falcon and accidently fall into a black hole and end up in and unknown region of space or an unknown galaxy and face a new unknown threat and go back into the black hole to the GFFA. That's what black holes and wormholes can do. They maybe portals to far distant regions of space or other galaxies or even other universes and maybe time machines connecting the past or the future. I just that would make an awesome SW hardcover novel adventure for the Big 3 and co. _________________ I'VE BEEN FROM ONE SIDE OF THIS GALAXY TO THE OTHER!

Revmacd Padawan Joined: 29 Aug 2010 Posts: 59 Location: Boston area I think it would be fun but what got my imagination flowing was the same thing that seems to have everyone else going here.....the how. Perhaps they Millennium Falcon stumbles across a "wormhole generator" and Han fashions it into a controllable drive somehow. That way you could traverse the millions of light years between galaxies in a reasonable amount of time. A kind of Stargate generator without the stargate. Awesome. Oh and Padmé, thanks for encouraging my behavior. _________________ I am currently awaiting an inspiration to fill this space with.

In my Post-FOTJ novels thread I mentioned that in the Marvel Comics stories such as X-Men and Avengers there was an intergalactic empire called the Shi'ar and they spread over three different galaxies and had stargates that makes travel between galaxies instantaneous. And there have been many good stories about them like Avengers:Galactic Storm and X-Men:The Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire. Wouldn't it be awesome if the Galactic Alliance or a GA fleet and/or the big 3 in the Millennium Falcon flew through a wormhole/stargate or black hole and encoutered a similar intergalactic empire and had intergalactic wars but they would have help from an Intergalactic Republic or Rebellion and fought a massive intergalactic space battle in a future Post-FOTJ hardcover standalone or hardcover duology/trilogy? That would be an awesome antagonist Post-FOTJ. _________________ I'VE BEEN FROM ONE SIDE OF THIS GALAXY TO THE OTHER!

If anything, it could be a separate spin-off series along the lines of if Outbound Flight had been succesful. I also think a whole lot could be explored in Wild Space and the Unknown Regions. Amongst other things, it was never detailed where Daala was hiding out all that time. Anyways, I'm not that picky, just give me more books.

This one is big enough without having to make every story so grand that you lose all the personal touches and character driven drama along the way. Like you say, Kurt. Bring the kids, have a picnic, save the galaxy from marauding aliens that they accidently discover and start a war with, play some catch...

I'd be happy to see out side the galaxy, sure it's supposed to be huge, but the map doesn't seem that unexplored these days- which I think is why we don't get too many stories in Wild Space or the Unknown regions they don't want to map it too much- but I'd love to learn about the Vongs Galaxy more- or the Droids who wooped them.
