i found it funny though that all of a sudden Anakin an Ahsoka both have new outfits, Anakin's hair is longer, and Ahsoka suddenly looks older.

Well, this was certainly one of the better episodes. It was very cool that I at last got to see these new outfits for Ahsoka and Anakin. I do wonder if they'll go into detail on how Ahsoka came by two lightsabres. Sure, we know the why through out of series interviews and the like, but it would be nice to see the reasons first hand. Or have they done that already? Admittedly I don't pay as much attention to the show as other Star Wars works. But to be honest I didn't like the beginning. Don't get me wrong, I like politics, but the dialogue wasn't all that great. It was hardly Tennyson, the politicians were hardly great orators along the lines of Churchill or Roosevelt, but the showing of the Seperatist senate and the workings and behind the scenes work and public face of Dooku definitely made up for it. That was, however, marred by another thing. Why did no one in the republic senate ask why the seperatists would bomb a power station of all things, and during a critical time that indicated the republic at least looked like they were willing to listen to their reasoning? But those are minor complaints, comparitively, as I loved being able to see the sep side of things, as well as a hinting of Palpatine's evil, as well as hinting at lethal action against Padme's friend. Not to mention Anakin's flat out refusal to think openly in a 'traiterous' fashion. Curious forshadowing of episode III.
