Life Is The Path Master Joined: 10 Sep 2010 Posts: 3406 Location: In a galaxy far, far - No, I'm behind you! Got you! Boo! I'm very pleased with this episode. Don't get me wrong, I like politics (okay I tried resisting it for as long as possible before giving in) but I wasn't interested in the politics of the earlier episodes, nor of the countless attempts on Padme's life, so it was with a great deal of relief that this episode turned up. So much so that I keep watching it, over and over! finally having Dooku being badass and winning. Ventress, okay, I'm not so familiar with her, but she was quite fun to watch, especially her flashbacks! As I said, I don't know her backstory, but this is one of those times, those rare times, when I think to myself 'I want to know more about this Clone Wars based character.' Okay, I'm gushing, but I can't help it! And that planet! What was it? It looked like a sunnier Ren Var, but whatever, I'm not a big fan of cities, give me ruins and the archaeologist in me comes alive! I could go on forever about the Dooku battle and the apparent ode to Ep III, but time is short, so for now I'll end with my amusement over the inclusion of the Nightsister's views on men, as evidenced by the Mother's words and tone when speaking to Dooku. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.

Darth Skuldren Moderator Joined: 04 Feb 2008 Posts: 5756 Location: Missouri I thought it was an okay episode. I was surprised the witches all had lightsabers, and the laser bows were different. When I watched it I remembered a few gripes but I've forgotten what they were now. _________________

Re the lightsabers- this made sense- recall Yoda has already come to Dathomir to negotiate the release of the Jedi survivors from the Chun'thor's wreck. When the Jedi academy ship crashed the nightsisters took many hostage and wouldn't let them leave the planet. I wasn't saying that it had to be greenery, merely that that's how I imagined it, and that I see no problem with DS users being around greenery. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan.
