Nykon stroked his beard in thought, "That might work.... though I was thinking something more direct. Trix has issue with Grey Jedi, that's no secret, not even to the High Council. What I propose we do is gather as many trustworthy Jedi as we can, right now, and we lock Trix and any who will support him in our brig, He may have a few supporters, but right now his is the opinion that holds the least amount of sway on this ship. We lock him up for treason, mutiny, what ever reason we deem worthy. By the time we get back to the High Council and have to answer for the act, our actions will have proven the right course. "

Truger seemed to be thinking it over, Will on the other hand didn't look convinced. Not that Nykon blamed him, it was a radical idea, and even if it was one that had a chance at success, Nykon at least would be taking the brunt of the High Councils irritation and rebuttal, as acting Leader of the mission until Rep was back on his feet, he would take the full heat.

If Trix could just be locked away until Jayda was back in the fold then they wouldn't have any issue beyond Trix's "Grey Jedi" issues. Nykon had a strong feeling that the High Council knew what kind of trouble having Trix along would be, even though his wasn't the "official" view of the Order, Trix had been a proponent for abandoning all Force practices but the most Light ones. A point of view that was causing strife in the Order as more Jedi began to listen to Trix's point of view on things from Kun to Revan. He was convinced that the Jedi needed to limit themselves even more then what the High Council already was. A mistake Nykon feared the Jedi Order might not be able to survive...

Again Nykon felt the lingering of the Darkness of Hoth and banished it from his mind. If only Rep was ok. If only his ship had made the last jump- then he'd never have been involved in the first place. Though how many might have died had he not been their to leand his blade? No the Force demanded Nykon's presence, just as it was once again. He HAD to do something.... the question was what exactly?

He closed his eyes again and consulted the Force for answers as he let Will and Truger mull it over.

Did they act now and remove Trix from a position of power? Or did they make a go at banishing Will and other "Grey Jedi" in the hopes that those Jedi would be successful in finding Jayda? Not to mention any of a host of complications that might arise for the Jedi along the way.

Yes, Nykon hated being in any kind of Leadership role. He only felt comfortable leading himself. Let others be responsible for themselves. If only the Force allowed that kind of ignorance Nykon thought as he once more rubbed his temples.

A mutiny certainly would be the most direct means of dispatching Trix, Will couldn't deny that. But the idea of not having a back up plan left him with a bad feeling. Master Graves has his reasons, after all he is stronger in the Force than I am and more experienced. Perhaps he knows something I don't.

Every moment we spend debating puts Trix at a greater advantage, he certainly isn't sitting around wondering what to do next. Though I have some misgivings of not having a plan B I submit to your judgment of how best to deal with this situation Master Graves and I shall support your plan in whatever capacity you deem most beneficial to its success.

Will closed his eyes, if Truger agreed then they would be set on a path there would be no going back on. The question now was whether the pazaak deck they were playing with was stacked in their favor or Trix's.

"Sounds good, I like it. But I don't think we'll have any problems with Trix's attempted mutiny." Truger emphasized. "I play cards with a few people on this ship that just happen to be stationed in rather vital areas of this ship. The sort of areas you two have been mentioning."

Truger leaned forward in his seat, raising one finger on his hand. "There's Security Chief Fernando Caslet," he raised another finger, "Chief Engineer Hondo Rendecki," a third finger popped up, "and Danni Weber. He just happens to be the guy who flies the ship."

A massive smile was beaming on Truger's face as he leaned back in his chair. Trix could still be a massive pain in their side, but his ability to take over the ship would be severely hampered if there was an organized resistance. Especially if key personnel were to be informed of such a possibility before hand and would have the reassurance that other senior Jedi on the ship would also be opposed to any takeover by Trix.

"One way or another, we'll make sure Trix ends up in a storage closet and we get are shebs to Sullust so we can rescue Jayda."

Will grinned, something about the idea of a simple game of cards outwitting the complexity of Bothan cloak-and-dagger politics he found particularly amusing.

Sounds like all those card games are going to pay off in more ways then just being able to afford escaping the Temple to enjoy the night life of Coruscant.

Will turned to Master Graves

Do you have an idea of how exactly we're going to isolate Trix and his fellows so that we can lock them up somewhere safe? We don't want to make our move in a crowded area of neutral Jedi where Trix might try to spin a tale that makes him look like the victim and rally neutral Jedi to his aide.

Will paused, the three of them pondering just how to accomplish their mutiny.

No doubt some will see this as an underhanded tactic but perhaps make our move at night when they've turned in? Sneak in and cuff them while they're sleeping or something. Done right there's minimal violence and no collateral damage. All we need are a few stun cuffs and some Jedi who don't mind using stealth field generators and Force Stealth against fellow Jedi

Graves trusted Truger's method of carrying out their coupe, he just wasn't keen on Will's insistence that Graves go to the Bridge and stay there. The idea was that he would appear neutral to what was going on throughout the ship. And if worse came to worse, in the best position to control the ship.

He walked to the lift tube and awaited the platform. He wondered how much trouble Trixx would prove to be before the day played out. Time would tell.

The lift doors opened, no one was inside. Nykon Graves walked in and pressed the controls that would take him to the bridge. His internal chronometer kept counting down, awaiting the signal that operation: "Grey Out" had commenced.

Will had donned his fiber armor once more. Granted the odds of Trix actually managing to hurt Will weren't too good but then again the bad things always seemed to happen the one time you don't take the normal precautionary steps. He was now making his way down the hall to meet up with Trugger. This should be fun Will said quietly to no one in particular. He wasn't fond of politicians to begin with and he liked Jedi who pretended to be politicians even less. Jedi are the keepers of the peace, not "latest methods of debate"

Will shook his head. There were few he'd met who actually seemed capable of doing more than endlessly debating and it always amazed him that they seemed inclined to want discuss things as a committee at the most inconvenient times.

OOC: What exactly is Trugger's plan?

Hal Darrun lifted his head from the medical bed he was resting on.

Or rather, Lord Reaver lifted Hal's head.

After finally being freed from his prisons, both the Sith holocron and the dreary planet Hoth, Reaver was free for the first time in centuries! The only person who knew of Lord Reaver of the Sith, was Darth Modero.

Well and Hal Darrun, but he wasn't going to be telling anyone anytime soon. He was trapped. Locked away in his own mind by a Sith Lord so ancient he made Exar Kun look like old news.

Reaver had more then one reason to want Modero dead. Besides the more obvious fact that he knew of Reaver's existence, Modero was personally responsible for his last entrapment of the cursed Sith holocron. For that Reaver had sworn Modero's death at his hands. He would never stop until his blood lust was sated.

"Oh good! You're awake!" a voice called as a shape moved closer. Reaver forced Hal's eyes to focus on the form.

It was a doctor.

Doctor..... Hard as he tried the name didn't spring readily to his lips. He focused his thoughts inward and drew on Hal's memories. Doctor Morgan, Doctor Rycch Morgan. He was stationed on theSab-Sa-Ssss... . Reaver could feel Hal fighting for control despite being trapped. Again Reaver lashed out with his mind and strengthened his hold on the trap, on the Sith Mind Sphere he helped Hal create for himself. Hal's voice was silent, and his presence seemed to vanish. Suddenly Hal Darrun's memories were laid out before Reaver, and he claimed them as his own.

Like any true Sith he dominated everything he came into contact with. And controlling Hal was simple when he was strong enough to keep Hal in his place. The shuttle ride from Hoth had given him more then enough time to recuperate.

"Doc Morgan?" Reaver said in Hal's sad, weak, quibbling voice. He loathed trying on the body of one so strong in the Force, yet so obviously weak everywhere else. Hal Darrun did not deserve his own life and Reaver had taken it. Like any Sith he did what he needed to, to survive. "What happened? Why am I here on the Saber's Hilt and not on Hoth?" Inwardly Reaver smiled a devilish smile at Hal, whom no doubt was even now fighting against his new found prison. Saber's Hilt! Yes that's right. You weak, pathetic little Jedi! Reaver laughed at Hal inwardly through the Force.

Doctor Morgan seemed to sense something, but clearly misunderstood. "I understand, lay back, you were injured by some wild Wampas. You've been in a healing trance ever sense."

Well that wasn't entirely true, Reaver was in a healing trance, but not one that required him to stay in it for days. No Reaver knew many abilities, and one was how to heal with his rage.

It had never worked when he had his own body. No. No, it only worked when he was in spirit form, he could heal the body of his host. When he had tried to heal his body with the trick, it had only succeeded in keeping the dead limbs animated. But he had learned that in time he could master his abilities, and that perhaps through it lied the doorway to immortality.

How close he was.

All he needed to master was his spirit form. His scrolls and books had all been stolen from him by the ones who were once his brothers. His fellow Sith had stolen his teachings, his library, his body, everything. And worse still, they used it as a foundling place to start their own library Veeshas Tuwan. After they stole all his knowledge, the had his body stripped away and his spirit trapped within the Holocron. For over 100 years he was but a part of his own library, and put to use by the ones who had betrayed him.

The library was on Arkadia, and if what Modero had revealed to him was true, then it too was long gone.

Like all his enemies.

He wasn't exactly positive how he'd came to Hoth, but he knew he'd been there for untold centuries. And even there he almost escaped multiple times. And would have had it not been for Modero!

All the more reason to kill Modero. To finish the ONLY enemy left to him.

Yes, Reaver decided he'd use Hal Darrun to his fullest. He'd pose as a Jedi! What better way to kill Darth Modero! If he managed to kill a few weaker Jedi along the way, so be it. The herd always need culled Reaver thought.

'And the rest of the team?' Reaver was again laughing on the inside at Hal. He could see Hal being so pathetic.

Rycck leaned closer to Hal and looked into his eyes as he shined a light across them. "Well it could have been worse, but it's still not good. Rep Gordan is still unconscious. I fear he may have been poisoned."

He will be. If Modero didn't I'll make it look like he did.
Reaver thought as Rycck Morgan continued, "... and Jayda's been taken hostage by what we're hearing could be a Sith."

That was what Reaver had wanted to hear! He leaned up even more as the Doctor continued scanning Hal's body. He rambled on about delays in chasing after Jayda due to Trix. The crafty Bothan had managed to turn the event on Hoth into a power grab, and apparently even as Reaver laid in the medbay, events were unfolding to regain control of the ship. Rycck Morgan was a close friend of Rep Gordan's, and as such, he gave Nykon Graves, and his "Grey Jedi" as Trix called them, his full loyalty. He had seen what Bothan politics did to "speed up things" with the Jedi judicial system, and knew he wanted nothing to do with it when Trix held his first investigation into the events on Hoth. Dr. Morgan explained how Truger had a plan and how that as soon as they secured the ship they would finish the trip to Sullust. Reaver needed to get back to 'duty" and soon if he hoped to be on that mission.

All Reaver needed to do now was get Dr. Morgan to report him fit, and to go 'help" his fellow Jedi locate one of their own. And kill the vile Sith who took her in the process. As any 'good Jedi" should. Reaver thought with a smile.

All too easy.....

Will met Trugger on C deck near the security nerve center. With Trugger was the chief of security Fernando Caslet along with two security guards.

"I'll be manning the security cameras for the next three hours. Since about two hours ago we've been having some problems with the cameras on the deck Master Trix is quartered, for some reason they keep going on the blink at the bottom half of the hour. If they go out again I'm pretty sure it will take 15 minutes to get them back online." Security Chief Caslet simply said, nodded slightly and ducked into the security station. Will, Trugger and the two security guards headed off towards the turbo lifts.

"Well what do you say we pay Trix a visit Trugger and see if he'd mind sharing a drink?"

Trugger chuckled "Sounds good, have you managed to perfect that new "beverage" you said Trix might like?" He pressed the turbolift button to summon it to their deck. The doors quietly hissed open when the turbolift arrived.

Will stepped into the turbolift and then reached into a pouch on his belt, producing 4 spray hypos which he distributed among the four of them. "Careful with this, it has a synthetic liquid that has the Force resistant qualities of Terentatek skin. One shot of it and you will be deaf to the Force for 20 minutes. It also has a neurotoxin which will leave you paralyzed for 15 minutes and feeling rather nauseous for another 45."

The two security guards looked at the hypo sprays in their hand and then held them a safe distance from their bodes. Trugger held his up eyeing the liquid it contained "Where the blazes did you get Terentatek skin to use as a sample?"

"Revan took the original Terentatek sample during his quest for the Star Forge. It was so complete you could clone a Terentatek from it." Will chuckled softly, amused by the look of horror on the security guard's faces at the prospect of the ferocious beasts returning to the galaxy. Though Will wasn't sure exactly why he found their fear entertaining. Shrugging Will continued "When the Jedi Commandos were formed his sample was rediscovered in the Jedi Archives. A joint research team of Jedi Healers and Republic Military R&D began experimenting in creating various synthetic compounds from it. Eventually they isolated the skin and developed liquid version that deafens an individual to the Force temporarily. Jedi Commandos are issued a datacard with various formulas, one of which is liquid Terentatek skin. That's how I made this little batch. Its pretty much like any other poison or medicine really, all you need is some familiarity with it to know what dose to use to get the desired affect."

"H-h-how far did the project go?" One of the security guards asked

"The Jedi Council pulled the plug before research could be conducted on the potentials of weaponizing the compound. What you have in your hand is as far as the research got. Useful when you need to apply a toxin to a Force user and want to make sure they can't use Force Heal to stop it, but impossible to use without a spray hypo. So no worries, it can't hurt you unless it gets into your blood stream. Will cheerfully slapped the security guard's shoulder as the turbolift doors hissed open to Trix's deck "So who feels like ruining a certain Bothan's nap time?"

"I'm game. Let's get this over with." Outside Trix's quarters, the four man team shrank their presence in the Force and readied their hypos.

Truger nodded to the two security men to stand outside next to the door. He and Will would be the ones to deal with Trix.

Truger slowed his breathing and calmed himself. He cleared his mind and intentions of any threatening thoughts. It wouldn't do to have Trix's danger sense going crazy and alerting the wily Bothan before hand. If their luck held out, the Bothan would be a heavy sleeper.

"Ready?"

Will nodded.

The door opened and Truger walked in. Light spilled into the room and Truger's eyes quickly looked around. To the right was an empty desk. Straight ahead a spacious empty space and further back a door to a personal fresher. To the left was a bunk.

An empty bunk.

Truger's danger sense flickered as a Bothan yelled and jumped out of dark corner, his lightsaber lit and poised to strike.

Instinct snatched Truger's lightsaber off of his belt and into his empty left hand as he brought his right up to spray the hypo into the Bothan's face.

Surprisingly, Trix didn't even try to dodge the spray. He took it full in the face and swung his lightsaber in a sharp arc toward Truger's neck. Truger barely had time to slip his on saber into the way and push the deadly incoming blade aside.

The Bothan's open mouthed snarl changed into an odd shape, and before Truger could react, the Bothan spit into his face.

The crazy mynock! He swallowed part of the spray and spit it back at me.

The thoughts raced through Truger's mind as he continued to parry Trix's attacks. He tried to summon the Force to shove the Bothan back, but it came out weak and Trix easily blocked it. Truger couldn't tell if the spray was affecting Trix or not, but it was certainly effecting him.

He focused everything on his reflexes and his lightsaber hoping Will could finish the deed.

Nykon Graves paced across the Saber Hilt's bridge. Bream Darklighter looked up from the comm station, "Master Graves, Sir. All but two teams have reported in with success. So far everything is still quiet from Truger's team. But most teams met little to no resistance. It seems as though Trix, or one of his most loyal supporters might be effecting some of the Jedi. Team Four reported that the Jedi they encountered all handed their sabers over before even confronted." The younger Knight seemed to be happy with his theory.

Nykon wasn't. If what Bream theorized was true, then Trix was a bigger threat to himself then he knew. Suddenly Trix's seeming bigotry of the "Gray Jedi" from the Hoth mission came into focus for Nykon. Trix feared Gray Jedi because everything he preached about their temptation, lived ironically in himself. If Trix was using a special ability to affect the Jedi and beings around him, to persuade them to aide him.... Nykon didn't even want to think about it.

It was the Will of the Force that Trix had backed them into a 'mutiny' that should never have been one. And as reports had it, the Jedi on board the ship unanimously agreed. Almost.

Nykon wished he'd heard back from Will and Truger by now.

It didn't matter if they already had control of the ship. If Trix, or whom ever was influencing the Jedi was able to run free, the same issue would occur. More Jedi falling sway to his ability. Nykon was sick of fighting, and had no desire to fight his fellow Jedi. Even if Trix had given them the out they needed to remove him as a player. It made Nykon sick to think that it could get that bad. Obviously not all the Jedi on board were vulnerable to Trix's power.

He needed to know where Trix was, if he was in custody by now or not. He couldn't wait anymore. He turned to Bream, and leaned over his console.

"Send teams four, eight, and nine to aide Truger's team. They are on the same deck and can get there the fastest. Have the first team on the scene report to the rest if additional backup is needed. Also have them warn everyone that Trix or one of his followers is using some form of Force bond to lure Jedi to help him, or feel sympathetic to him."

Bream quickly followed Nykon's orders. Nykon just hoped the teams would get there in time to back Truger and Will up.

* * * * * *

Hal Darrun had been released from the medbay, listed as 'fit for duty' but Dr. Morgan asked him to remain while things on their level calmed down. Until Rycck Morgan received word from the bridge that his level was clear he was keeping the medbay sealed tight. Hal didn't mind. It gave Reaver all the time he needed to continue his influence over the Jedi on the ship. He was using an old trick he'd read in a scroll. He was channeling his rage into a 'White Current' in the Force. Or outside the Force, he wasn't quite sure how it existed in relation to the Force, the scroll was damaged. The most important part, at least to Reaver, was the part about amplifying Dark Tendencies. It was a technique one could use to siphon ones rage into a current that broadcasted out into the Force like a hidden wave. One wouldn't feel the Dark Side at work on them. And the pure wouldn't be effected at all. But for some Jedi, it would amplify their darker emotions. It would also amplify Force powers connected to emotions. But in the manner applied, the technique was ingeniousness, no Jedi would notice his use of the Dark Side because the current was like a black hole sucking in his power and sending it unseen or noticed to his victims.

He wanted to laugh, it was all he could do to keep Hal's features passive and bored, as a Jedi who had just been deemed fit would look, if forced to stay put after so long. Reaver took joy in the thought that Jedi out in the ship might be attacking each other because of him. It also angered him, that he couldn't claim credit for it all, but he'd survive. His ego had survived much worse. The death of EVERY enemy he'd ever had. We'll he still had the Jedi Order, and Modero. Darth Modero. The play Sith. Reaver managed to feel a level of disdain for these "Darth" play acting Sith that rivaled his hate for the Jedi. The Sith he found himself were not worthy of the Dark Side.

He would show them that much. In time.

His enemies might be centuries long ago dead, but now he saw himself as a maverick. He was once a Sith, but he was also more then what it currently meant to be a Sith. But then, he reflected, he was the Last of the Sith in a sense. He was sure that all his ancestors were long dead, just as all his enemies, and rivals. He would use his new body- a Jedi Knight of the Jedi Order- and ride the universe of both Sith and Jedi.

In a world absent of users of darkness and light, he alone would reign supreme.

Oh the joy was in the details, and Reaver had long ago learned to wait. For him days could feel like minutes, and days might be years, for all it mattered to him. He was free of the Holocron, and he would get his revenge. On the Sith, on the Jedi, on the Galaxy itself.

All he needed to do was pick his moments to strike.

Always when he'd not be found. He would wait for the right moments to kill. And he'd look for suitable hosts in case he needed to flee Hal Darrun like a Space Wraith leaving a body upon death. He'd already noticed a few potentials on the Jedi's Hoth mission alone. If he waited and played things right he could possibly possess the head Jedi in charge of the mission.

Oh yes, Reaver liked that thought.

Things had gone wrong, terribly wrong. Trugger had absorbed some of the poison and was holding Trix off purely through superior skill and strength of will. Trix also hadn't been foolish, seconds after Trix attacked Trugger Will was tackled by a raging Shistavanen Jedi. Will's hypo had been batted out of his hand into a dark corner of the room though he lost sight of it in the dark. The Shistavanen growled as he gripped Will in a headlock.

Pushing with the Force and his muscles Will rolled himself and the Shistavanen onto their backs. Without hesitating Will drew his knife and slashed it into the muscles of the Shistavanen's forearm as soon as he felt the grip weaken he then rammed the heavy pommel into his attacker's eye. The sudden pain had loosened the Shistavanen's grip enough for Will to role free though the Shistavanen tried to restrain him drawing his sharp claws across Will's face. Will could feel the blood flowing from the gashes in his cheek but his adrenaline and battle focus dulled the pain. Will rose to a kneeling position and threw his knife into Trix's left ankle. Trix yelled in pain and stumbled when the knife lodged itself squarely in his ankle.

Will's danger sense tingled nanoseconds before the Shistavanen grabbed Will's legs to haul him back down. He offered no resistance as he was pulled down and rolled in a controlled fall onto his back. The Shistavanen, expecting Will to resist, had overcompensated and dragged Will closer than intended. Wasting no time Will delivered a swift kick to the Shistavanen's head and saw several teeth fly out of its mouth. Rolling forward he snatched saber off his belt in a reverse grip and, wielding it like a police baton, delivered a swift blow to the Shistavanen's neck which left the Shistavanen temporarily unable to speak and short of breath but with no permanent damage.

Pinning the Shistavanen down with his knee Will activated his short saber holding the tip millimeters above the fur covered chest ready to plunge it into the heart if the Shistavanen tried anything. It was tempting so tempting to just plunge his saber down and be done with it. The Shistavanen had attacked him first hadn't he? So killing him would just be an act of self defense, nothing more and well within the Jedi Code. The tip of the saber drifted closer, the smell of burning fur filled Will's nostrils, the Shistavanen glared defiantly at him. Will returned the stare with a steal cold glare of his own as the Light Side struggled to stop him from delivering a killing blow.

Finally suppressing his urge to kill Will exhaled. I came so close, so very close to proving Trix right about me. Pulling the saber up slightly Will turned his focus to processing how to fix the mess they had landed in. Will reached into a pouch on his belt and grasped a small vile Trugger'll hate its Bantha urine taste but there is no time to make it more palpable with Tarisian ale Tossing it to Trugger he guided it safely to his hand with the Force antidote! drink! Will sent the message through the Force.

Security! Will bellowed knowing their two spray hypos were the only way to subdue Trix and his lacky without further violence. He just hoped that the two security guards weren't fighting off an ambush of their own.

Jayda smoothly glided the Shadow Breaker down toward the planet, the Sith watching her every move. Deciding to make the trip as unpleasant as possible for the Dark Man, Jayda purposely aimed for an ongoing electrical storm near the planet's terminator, slightly below its equator.

As the ship bucked and danced through the lightning strikes and ion blasts, Jayda could feel the Dark Man glaring at the back of her head. He knew she'd done it on purpose, just as she knew he knew. But their relationship was already on thin ice, and he decided not to push the issue. He needed this Mandalorian Jedi, much as he hated to admit it. For now, however defiantly it was carried out, she was cooperating. And, for the moment, that was good enough.

Jayda wasn't sure where they were supposed to be going, so she aimed for the nearest settlement that showed up on the ship's scopes. It appeared there was an underground community a little north of their current position. Gripping the controls, she pointed the Shadow Breaker in the right direction. She waited for the Sith to object, to correct their path. But he said nothing. It was then that Jayda realized the Dark Man had no more idea why they were on Sullust than she did. Something was calling to him, some inner voice. And, as far as she could tell, he had yet to figure out what that voice was saying.

Will glanced at Trix who he saw was kneeling, no longer able to support his weight on is left leg which had Will's combat knife buried to the hilt in his ankle. It was now a draw, at least until the antidote cleared the toxin from Trugger's systems. Trugger muttered under his breath remarking at the foul taste of the antidote and glared at Will before vaporizing the vile with his lightsaber blade. The Shistavanen twitched under Will causing him to shift his amber blade so it lay millimeters from the Shistavanen's neck and chin. No words needed to be used to emphasize that even the slightest movement of the head would prove lethal and that Will's tolerance for further resistance was over.

One of the security guards appeared in the doorway, hypo spray in hand.

"Lights out chum The security guard said with the slightest twinkle of malevolence in his eye as he shot the hypo into the Shistavanen's arm.

Very odd, people are changing and not for the better. But why? Maybe its just my imagination... Will pulled his saber up, the blade held at a 45 degree angle in front of his belt in a defensive stance.

"Put the saber down Trix, you're not going to win this battle anyway."

Trix grinned "As the Corellian members of your species would say 'Go to Hell'" He then made an off balanced lunge at Trugger who neatly parried the blade away. Will gripped the hilt of his knife with the Force and twisted the blade slightly. Trix's eyes bulged as the knife blade teared the wound open further, the dull grating of metal on bone filling the small room briefly before Will relaxed the blade.

I just wanted to leave the past alone Trix, but you wouldn't. Fine. This is the result. Now I ask again, put the saber down and we can end this without further violence."

Trix shut the blade down and the security guard with the last spray hypo in hand cautiously stepped forward. "Traitors! Trix yelled, blade flaring to life as he widely swung at the guard's legs. The guard leaped backwards but not before the tip of the saber blade had nicked his thigh. Will twisted the knife hilt again, this time with greater pressure to tear into more flesh. Trix gasped, dropping his saber and instinctively gripping his leg as the new surge of pain hit him. But he was determined not to give his enemies the pleasure of a scream. Deep down in Will he could feel an urge to twist the blade into a 90 degree angle to pop Trix's foot bones from his leg, but slowly so he could watch the tears well up in Trix's eyes as new throbs of pain hit him until he could bear it no more and would finally wail in pain. Something was urging him, smiling as it felt Will's resolve weaken, eager to bath in the pain that would wash from Trix's body as a mutant from a B horror holomovie would bath in toxic water.

"Will!

He snapped to, the dark urge retreating back into the shadows as Will released his grip from his knife hilt. Trugger was looking at him with all the urgency and seriousness that said things had gone far enough. In fact Trix was out cold with the security guard kneeling next to him, empty hypo spray in hand.

"Its done Will, Trix can't cause us any more trouble."

Will nodded, taking a deep breath and let it out slowly. His was trying, really trying to suppress the darkness that had emerged on Hoth but as he looked at Trix's limp body he couldn't help but wonder. Traitor! Trix's voice kept echoing in his head, shaking Will's certainty that he could rise above this darkness.

Trugger held his gaze on Will until he was certain the small swell of darkness that was brewing inside of him had subsided. Things had gotten out of hand in the capture. According to plan, no one was suppose to get hurt.

So much for plans.

"Will, why don't you go to the bridge and see how Nykon is doing. Let him know that we have Trix subdued. I'll escort Trix and the security to make sure nothing happens."

Will nodded and left.

Trugger looked back at Trix's still form. The Bothan had a terrible wound from the knife. Even with bacta treatment and Jedi healing, he might walk the rest of his life with a limp.

The Shistavanen on the other hand would be fine. Nothing too major there. In a few days he'd be just like new.

And in a few days where will we be? On Sullust rescuing Jayda? Killing some Sith? Or victims of the dark side?

Trugger went to wash away the thoughts in his head, but they were reluctant to leave. It was almost like there was a darkness on the ship.

Strange.

"Come on guys, let's get these two locked up."

As Will rode the lift to the bridge he tried to clear his mind of the Dark Side, though it stubbornly refused to dissipate. Will's gaze drifted to the silent speakers of the lift and the thought of lift-tube music jumped into his mind, making him smile at how out of place it would be on a warship. I swear one day I've got to convince Trugger to help me rig the klaxon to go off to this rythm and then pipe it into all the lifts just for a laugh Will smiled at the thought, trying to find some light amidst the terrible realization that in Trix's quarters the Dark Side had come unbidden and unnoticed until it was almost too late to stop himself from hurting Trix terribly...from proving Trix right.

The doors hissed open to the bridge where Master Graves paced back and forth on the bridge, occasionally stopping at a station to look at the readout on a screen or stand peering out at the starscape. For the most part Will sensed that the bridge personnel were going about routine either unaware of the mutiny on the lower decks or unconcerned by the development. Bream, like Master Graves, were distinct in their alertness, clearly ready to deploy every allied Jedi and non-Jedi alike if things threatened to spiral out of control. Will silentely stepped off the turbolift taking care not to break the methodical beeping of the bridge consoles with a heavy bootfall. For reasons he couldn't understand his instincts warned him not to make a sound, lest the bridge crew turn on him like sleeping kath hounds whose peace had been disturbed. Were it not for the beeping consoles it'd be silent as a tomb. It may yet be a tomb.

What news Will? Master Graves quietly asked without breaking his gaze from the starscape as Will silently approached.

Will flinched, half expecting the bridge to howl with rage at the noise. Will could see Master Graves raise an eyebrow at the sudden half second of hesitation.

Trix is secured, but you'd better send a medic down to the brig. He ambushed us, how he knew we were coming I don't know but he did and he had help. We...I used physical force to subdue them. Will paused unsure how to continue. He knew he had to tell Master Graves how close he had come to hurting Trix even further. But even more troublesome was Trix's behavior, his odd willingness for violence and the temptation for violence in that security guard's eyes.
