I think a Thrawn clone should appear in a post-Fate of the Jedi novel written by Tim Zahn and be set 5 years after FOTJ and the Thrawn clone should be a good guy perhaps teaming up with Luke and/or a 20-something Ben Skywalker solving a major galactic crisis that only the Thrawn clone could solve or face a new threat in the Unknown Regions wih the Thrawn clone leading a fleet of ships and/or teaming up with the Skywalkers and Solos against the remaning terrors in the UR or anew condeferacy of star systems in the UR rebelling against the Chiss and also the Empire of the Hand comes back. Del Rey should let Tim Zahn do such a hardcover novel and it's a big big must.
I heard a while back on TF.N message boards that a book signing that if he were to do a Ben Skywalker novel that he would want Ben team up with Thrawn and both Ben and the Thrawn clone must solve a major galactic crisis and face a new threat in the Unknown Regions, That's a SW novel I want to read with cool space battles in the UR with Ben leading a Galactic Alliance Fleet against the UR threat and the Thrawn clone leading his Fleet of ships against the UR threat. Does anybody else like to see Zahn do a Ben Skywalker hardcover set in the Unknown Regions and team up with a cloned Thrawn?

Honestly a cloned Thrawn could be a good way to get rid of the big 3. Give it to Zahn. He started the EU, he should finish them. Thrawn and at least one of the big 3 will go out in blazing flames and it'll be epic and awesome. Not Luke yet though, don't take Ben's other parent too soon.

I take it you haven't read the Zahn/Stackpole story in Tales of the Empire, then? Cool

Wait. What? You mean there actually is a Mando Thrawn?! Shocked

To an extent this is true.

Thrawn dressed up in Mandalorian armor and pretended to be Jodo Kast. So yeah, Thrawn was Mando Thrawn for a while. Very Happy

Right. I heard about that, but I guess I forgot. I should really get around to reading those anthologies... if I can find them.

I like your idea of a Thrawn clone getting rid of the Big 3 Caedus 16. But does anybody like the idea that I suggested of Zahn doing a novel where a Thrawn clone teams up or meets Ben Skywalker post-FOTJ in a future Zahn Post-FOTJ Ben Skywalker novel where the Thrawn clone leads a fleet of ships against a new threat in the Unknown Regions?

I like that idea - Thrawn mentoring Ben would be very enjoyable to read. It would also further set him apart from Luke's shadow.

It might be interesting, but I still think the Unknown Regions should stay the Unknown Regions. Perhaps a little exploration, but it should still be the blank spot on the map. Cool

Eventually the Unknown Regions will be fully explored. Acoording to the Legacy comics and the Essential Atlas the Unknown Regions were explored. So I would love to see more worlds, aliens and enemies of the UR post-FOTJ/pre-Legacy and the Jedi colonize worlds in the UR and the satellite galaxies and eventually another nearby spiral galaxy to the GFFA via OutBound Flight II.

Oy. Really? Nothing in Star Wars can remain unexplored...
