I suspect the reason for his survival involves the Nightsister magic. Perhaps Maul was also part of this scheme, unwittingly or otherwise.

They're doing nothing of the sort. Boba Fett fell into the Sarlacc Pit in full Mandalorian armor, with a still functioning jet pack. Starkiller traveled into a living Sarlacc and back out in TFU. It really is not that far fetched to claim that Fett escaped from said Sarlacc. I mean, honestly, we've had other "returns from the dead" that were much less believable, and people don't harp on those as much.


I was thinking more in terms of out of universe 'bringing him back'. Fett proved so popular with the fans that they (I've forgotten which they, exactly, but it still stands) made it possible, in universe, that he would be able to survive inside until such a time that some friend of his set up a fishing pole and waited until Fett took a bite and fished him out. Mounted him on the wall...

On the other side of the spectrum: Darth Maul was cut in half! Cut. In. Half. What'd they do? Rush to the bottom of the shaft and stitch him back together? I think not. This is nothing like bringing back Boba Fett. Confused

Oh, I'm with you here. Maybe they got the janitor from Robot Chicken to clean him up.

Just watched it. On the whole I thought it was a decent episode, a few things didn't sit well with me, but not enough to complain about.

That one always was canon. the Half Maul half robot could now be seen as canon- maybe...

The story "Resurrection" from SW Tales was apparently referenced into C-canon. I do not know which story did this. All I can remember was back when Abel Pena was doing his Dark Forces articles for the SW RPG on the WOTC website, he referenced one of the moons of Kalakar, although a different moon than "Resurrection" takes place on.
