Summary: With help from R2-D2 and a squad of captured battle droids, an elite team of Jedi and clone troopers led by Obi-Wan and Anakin attempt to free a captive Jedi general, Even Piell, from an impenetrable prison. Despite orders to the contrary, Ahsoka Tano tags along, though she proves indispensable when the infiltration mission begins to evolve. Piell and his fleet officer, Captain Tarkin, as liberated from their cells, but now the fugitives must escape the Citadel itself.

I remembered to watch TCW last night, and I thought this episode wasn't too bad. Had some good action, good visuals as always, and I thought they did a really good job with Even Piell. He seemed like a fun character, and I hope to see more of him in TCW. Too bad Tarkin was so unlikable, I was hoping they might have done more with his character. Way too much push to make him an all around bad guy even when he's suppose to be a good guy, in my opinion. Osi Sobeck didn't impress me much as a villain either. Seemed like your run of the mill cartoon villain. Anakin and Ahsoka were done well in the episode though.

EDIT: One thing that did bug me though was the carbon freezing. Wasn't carbon freezing an unpredictable process? As in- you might not survive it?

I thought it was funny that they had Uganauts in the episode. Guess they're carbon freezing experts. Hmm, I wonder if they ever actually stated anything about that...(goes off to wookieepedia)

Edit: very interesting read, but no mention of them being carbon freezing experts. Also it's Ugnaughts. Took me forever to figure out the spelling. Cool

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Yes, it had its bad moments, like Skuls said (the bad guy, whose name isn't worth remembering) but even then I'm glad we had a different bad guy, and a different good guy to root for. That is what I, and probably others, have been asking for for a long time-someone whose fates we don't know, whose lives really do hang in the balance during the episode. Yes, it still suffered from being too short, but in this case it was more a case of 'I want more! It was cool, so I want more!' instead of, 'oh, this looks like the cliffnotes version of the episode. Will this be on the test?'
Another things of note was that I liked how they portrayed Tarkin. Okay, so it may screw things up with continuity (don't know that for certain, as I've tried to stay away from CW era books), but I like the dynamic between the two, and it could possibly add a few layers of subtext in later books, or maybe Darth Vader and the Lost Command, whenever the two meet face to face.
One small possible gaff, though, and I only mention it to see what you guys think: how was it that Anakin's hand managed to work after being electrocuted? If he can't do Force Lightning, then it stands to reason that he can't withstand electro-shock from an outside source.

Ooh, ooh, and another thing *Jumps up and down like an over-energized toddler* I liked Obi-Wan in this. Usually he's nonchalant and wry, but he seemed, I don't know, more so. Not to mention a little reckless - but maybe that was me. I keep flashing on the beginning few minutes when they learn of Piel's capture. Anakin says something about there always being a first time, and Obi-Wan rather grimly agrees with him. Maybe it was just me, but I felt he was feeling a little incensed, a little reckless towards this mission - as if he was taking Piel's capture personally. I like that side to him. He reminds me a bit of Wedge; calm and cool under fire, yet if something irks him his Corellian side comes out, and he becomes a lot more cocky and reckless, and is the better pilot for it.
