The cover reminds me of every Tom Cruise movie - he always runs at some point.

Actually like the cover and the blurb. If Dash is broke does he still have Outrider and Leebo?

He probably doesn't have the Outrider yet, or just bought it -- resulting in his destitute state.

Wookieepedia suggests he was given it by a crime boss early on, but earlier in his career he used a ship called the Outrunner...

Dash Rendar is one of my favorite characters that's sadly been underutilized. People complain he's a Han Solo stand-in in SOTE, but if that's the case, then why hasn't he been used for stuff that Han Solo would do if he weren't married with children? Come on.

I hope this book features the Rodian co-pilot Dash had that died within 20 seconds of their first mission.

From what I've heard, he most definitely has both in the book.

AHHHH I am so stoked for this book!! It's going to be great, I know it! Very Happy

Agreed. Big fan of Reaves' novels.

Shadow Games was my least anticipated novel of the year. The cover and blurb don't change anything.

I liked Dash Rendar so I'm fully on board for this one. The blurb makes it sound pretty good. The whole finding-bodies-on-the-ship thing sounds like Dash is in for quite a few surprises.

I wonder if the dead bodies are his cargo.

I'm torn about whether I think it would be more interesting for this novel to be straight SW underworld, which is something that Del Rey has avoided like the plague EXCEPT for Reaves and Perry (and even then, it involved Jedi or Sith), or if they tied this into the Coruscant Nights and had Pavan cameo at the end or something to lead into Jedi Dawn (which I would be assuming takes place during the OT under this premise).

I just hope I-5YQ doesn't show up and kind of ruin Jedi Dawn's outcome for us if it takes place before Shadow Games.

I look forward to more banter between Dash and Leebo.

Since Xizor is in this, I assume Guri will be too. Perhaps in Shadow Games we'll see some foreshadowing between Dash and Guri for their post-reprogramming future mercenary relationship....*speculates*

Finished reading Shadow Games. I thought it was a pretty fun book.
