So...! Do you say snowballs, or snowcones? We say snowballs, and we always have. You cannot acquire a snowcone in south Louisiana. They do not exist. Padme is probably the only one who will back me up on this.
Apparently Louisiana is a strange place. Although...! You can get them in Mississippi, too. Cause we live near the border, and we can buy them in MS anytime. My mom also grew up in Douglas, GA, and they had snowballs, too.
But from asking around, I cannot find anyone else (outside of south LA) who calls them that. So...what do you call them?
And here are some photos, for proof. They were taken today, on a quick snowball trip.
