That's what I mean. It was a different kind of struggle, so of course there'd be the Senate and insidious doings being shown. It doesn't matter, to me, that it was either in your face or subtly done. It was still there, still plain to see. However, a thought's just occured to me. The politics of the PT was perhaps better done than the OT politics. With the OT you had the good versus evil bit, but in the PT it had a lot more layers. You had the 'good' guys who weren't really good, the bad guys who weren't wholly bad, and an undercurrent of subterfuge beneath it all. It was, essentially, litigation that brought down the Republic, and the Jedi. To some, that may not be epic, but that is, truly, insidious. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.
