That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.

So, why do you refuse to call them Klatooinians, preferring Baradas? _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. Lord Ree'dius Master Joined: 11 Apr 2011 Posts: 700 Location: The Unknown Regions I really can't choose between all the cool species out there, but here are some of my favorites: -Jawa's -Hutts -Rancors -Twi'leks -Mon calamari -Mynocks -Sandpeople -Yoda's species -Wookiees But in the end I really like them all to a more or less degree. Yes, I think one of the most tense moments in the EU was with Borsk, Leia, and Karrde at the Katana fleet with Han and Luke on-board one of the dreadnaughts, and Fey'lya refusing to aid them as the Imperials attacked. It was a masterful climax to Dark Force Rising, IMO. Ahhh nostalgia. As for my favorite alien species, that's a tough one. I like the Aing-Tii, although I didn't really like what was done with them in Omen. Crash Override Master Joined: 22 Dec 2010 Posts: 1849 The Wraiths or Defels are pretty cool, and underused. Zahn used them quite a bit back in the day. I also like the Dashade. I think another aspect of alien species in Star Wars I like is that before the prequels, the Galactic Civil War seemed strictly a human affair except for Ackbar and the Mon Calamari at the Battle of Endor. The alien species seemed mostly restricted to underworld activities. And with certain species like the Defel and the Dashade, they seem like their species is simply sleazy and its members only finds themselves off-world when they involve themselves in those sorts of activities. The Rodians are another example, but in that case, TCW has made them out to be a respectable species of which Greedo (and the several Greedo clones in Jabba's employ, apparently) are the aberrations within that society. _________________ "Trust not the words of a poet, as he is born to seduce.
