a couple old customs

I not particularly proud of these anymore, not like I used to be but I don't feel a need to re-do either of them so they'll remain as-is

From the Darth Bane books, Master Hoth is one ass-kicking medieval style Jedi that I really just wanted in figure form.

I love that the Expanded Universe has grown like it has. While not all the new stuff is cool (some of it is just plain atrocious) there's characters like Hoth and Farfalla that just enrich the mythos by leaps & bounds. No way Hasbro will ever do this guy.

From the Darth Bane books, Master Valenthyne Farfalla was I character I just HAD TO have on the shelf and hell will freeze over before Hasbro considers it.

I was intrigued that somebody had created a species like this for Star Wars, something traditional fantatsy and mythology has had as part of the genre for a looooong time. I really dug the way the character was written too; definitely a Jedi of a VERY different age and time than the subdued, close minded Jedi from the prequels.

I finished Darth Bane: Path Of Destruction and became a fan of the character instantly. Then I decided Hasbro did the character a great disservice but giving him the standard, limited, sub par articulation. He needs to be a LOT more bad ass.

And I love the armor design but the glowy translucent green-yellow bits were obnoxious. .

I thought Farfalla was a great character too. I don't see why Hasbro would never make these though... they did make Bane.

It's funny, but I had no idea Farfalla was an Equine, because it didn't say so in the books, until I read Jedi vs Sith. They look good, though.

Out of curiosity (not because I want to try myself, I'd be terrible at it!) how do you create these models?

Wow, those are amazing. I loved Farfalla and Hoth in the Bane books, we need figures like that these days. EU figures are what kept me interested in buying.

I really don''t customize much anymore. I'm hoping to get back to doing it more regularly eventually but I've just got too much else going on in real life nowadays.

How is customizing figures not real life? Wink
