Savage Oppress is cool. A bit overrated from the hype but there's tons of potential for a truly great character, I'm looking forward to seeing his explored more in the future.

I hate Asajj Ventress, I was really hoping Oppress would kill her off in the third part of that trilogy. I maintain hope that he will eventually kill her down the line somewhere. Or maybe he'll let Maul destroy her instead, that would be even more awesome!

I have to admit I'm of the opposite opinion. I didn't like Oppress, however, I have come to like Ventress. The voice actress for Ventress does an excellent job and I've enjoyed her parts in the series. She was kind of neat in the comics, but the television series elevated her in my eyes.

Oppress just seemed too simple of a character. Perhaps Maul, if it's truly him, will straighten that out.

Savage was a pretty cool character. Not as cool as Maul, though. Cool

I'm wondering what will happen when/if Savage finds Darth Maul.
How come Maul is still alive and will he have something to teach his brother? I for one would love to see Savage strike back at Dooku after more training in the Dark Arts.

Is that the route everyone's taking? Nightsister magic resurrecting Maul?

Pretty much. It pains me to think of him being resurrected, as that's a constant I feel should remain constant. But then again it's already been broken, with Maul in particular.

Well, Mother Talzin did send Savage Opress on a quest to find him and learn from him.
So I don't know if it's a route everyone's taking, it seems that that route was taken for us by Filoni and Lucas.

As for me, I wish they would have left Maul for dead.
I don't normally mind when a hero or villain is still alive when presumed dead, but in Maul's case we've seen him die by being cut in half and falling into a "bottomless pit".
I don't think there can be any convincing reason why he would have survived that and think that there most be something like Nightsister Magic involved in order to have let Maul survive.

Ah, but as was pointed out to me by our own IR2, he already was resurrected in the comic that sees him face off against Vader. That is deemed to be within continuity. Poor Maul. One of the great villains, destined to die at least 3 times.

I'm still sure how I feel about Maul coming back from the dead. '

Yeah it sucks he died one Naboo, but I've accepted it as FACT for so long that I dunno how to unaccept it, or if I even can.

Death is not in Darth Maul's dictionary. Actually, a lot of simple words aren't. That's why he doesn't speak very much in the films. Razz

I think you'll fit in just fine here, Son.

I know Maul squared off with Vader before, but to me it still wasn't clear if that really was Maul or some kind of apparition or something.
But I guess that if Maul is still alive that this one could be the same one as the one that battled Vader.

I still don't know about Maul's fate. The only source we have about his potential return is what Talzin said. I wouldn't bank on her telling the truth. I could see the writers play up him being alive and then it's some other weird twist.

Darth Maul coming back is really cheesey. Rolling Eyes

I'm cautiously optimistic they'll explain it in a reasonable way that actually makes sense from a storytelling angle... I'm sure hoping so anyway. This has the potential to go horribly wrong quickly.
God, this could easily be the stupidest G-level canon plot ever. Or it could end up being compelling.

I'm not ready to call it shameless pandering yet. I'll save that for later. :/

Confused
