All recurring characters are popular to somebody or they wouldn't be kept around. Well, I was stumped (though I'm sure you figured out by now, not for long). I wondered where I could get the numbers for fan preferences, and then realised I couldn't. Then I wondered how I could effectively poll the fans to find the answer. The answer was, of course, that I couldn't. At least, not all of them. Fortunately, there is this place. It's a nice place, you should stop by stome time, have a nerf steak and some blue milk (Yes, Rogue, I am gunning for your EUCast job ). Because this place has a very varied group of fans that, I feel, we could get at the very least a small microcosm of fandom. So, my question is: Who do you prefer, Mace Windu or Ahsoka Tano? Now, bear in mind that this isn't a 'who would win in a fight' scenario. Simply a question of personal preference. A bit like Reep's Top 100 thread, only dedicated to these two. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan. A Jedi Master from the PT who kicked butt with the biggest of them and who was (also important) played by Samuel L. Jackson. I really like this character. Ashoka on the other hand can be fun on TCW and I like her most of the times, but there's also a lot of episodes starring her that bore the crap out of me. On top of that her "sharp and witty" remarks tend to annoy me half of the time. P.S. Hoorah! I get that she's fun and has become an ok apprentice but she just kinda bores me. I honestly think she'll die in Order 66 because other than that I'm not sure how she could contribute to his darkside downfall (I'm not putting a lot of thought into it, I just don't care for her that's the only reason). She is ok as a character overall but she didn't add a lot to the film canon and since this series erased the original Gennedy Tartovinski series I'm kinda annoyed by it as that was great, this not so much... Plus Mace Windu is Mace Windu! The master of the shatterpoint, the man of honor, the man of power, one who dances with the dark side and defeats it on a regular basis, the only master of Vapaad! He took out an army of battle droids with no lightsaber, just the Force! He died, but honestly that didn't make him less cool. If you asked younger fans they'd probably go Ahsoka. And there's nothing wrong with that.
