Hmmm, enjoy TCW as part of the Saga...and the EU? Why not? Do they require some more "motivation", My Master?
But jokes aside, I completely agree with you, divides amoung fans is hardly a reason to close the forum. As for some of the other reasons I can quickly remember, I don't believe any of them either: financial concerns (whatever! This is LucasOnline we are talking about for goodness sake, not some start-up little company in the Dunesea on Tatooine), and the inappropriate posts/threads reason (not happening either, we had great mods and these things can be deleted from the forum if they are outside the Terms of Use). None of it makes any sense to me. |
Yeah, there's still a lot of head-scratching on my part, over the closer.
But anyway, I just wanted to explain what IR2 meant. Or at least what I'm pretty sure he meant. If not, just correct me, Rogue!
TCW, most fans believe, is part of the EU because it is not rated G-Canon, but T-Canon, and has its own level on the Continuity scale (said T-Canon), and thus considered part of the expanded universe. This is not the case. The reason it has its own level is because of 'book-keeping'. No, not the financial kind. I mean the Continuity Holocron kind. Basically, they gave it its own level so they can keep track of the origins of plot points, stories, characters, developments and actions - things like that - so that they don't get it confused with G-Canon. For all intents and purposes, Leland Chee says, it is to be considered G-Canon, and thus not EU. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.
