this is kriffing awesome news for all those fans who read e-books!

I'm just not one of them. I don't read books like I used to but when I do I like to have the books in my hand, no way do I want to stare at a screen to take the story in, no thank you.

As far as I'm aware, as it is now you don't pay HC prices for any books. Even printed books that are out in HC only format, you still pay paperback prices for the e-book format. As such, I see no reason that they would change that now.

Just to be clear, though, I don't own an ebook reader, and probably won't ever, so my facts are from other sources in the know - EUCast.

I have only bought books on the kindle, but Star Wars books like Vortex are currently at $13.99 for the Kindle edition. Whereas Allies only costs $7.99 since its been re-printed in TPB. Deceived, Conviction and Ascension are all listed for $13.99 on Kindle.

I'm definitely looking at getting an e-reader... I've used one, and it looks exactly like looking at a piece of paper. This is good news for me!

Joe: I'd suggest a Nook if you're comparing Nook to Kindle. I've used both and find the Nook the better of the two purchases.

Real Books for me...

ebooks may be good for traveling and beach... but I still HAVE to have the real book... love the smell, the feel, the emotion of turning each page, seeing how far you are and how far to go... Holding the book in your embrace and thinking about what you just read??? Nothing like it!!!

HELP ME Obi-Wan...

This is a rather radical notion I know, but books are paper with some ink on 'um. It's what the ink represents that matters. I like books for the uniformity of collecting. I can have one of everything and they. If they really put all the books on ebook I'm all for it (even though I don't know if I want to buy them again). I don't like it when I go to school and I have to pick and choose which one of my many SW novels to take with me. With ebooks I can take them all in the amount of space it takes for one novel.
