And taking Qui-Gon to work with me to sit on my desk. And maaaaybe making some sort creative project to put on the board.

Taral-DLOS EUC Staff Joined: 23 Nov 2010 Posts: 1237 Location: Ontario, Canada I'd say something about the absence of patriotism on these boards, but then I realized that very few people on these boards are British or Canadian (like me!) or from the rest of the Queen's realm. William's our future head of state. It is important to us (or some of us). I didn't watch it, but I have friends who got up at 4am to watch it (it is noteworthy that these friends grew up in Hong Kong when it was still under British rule, and the mentality is different between a former colony (like Canada) vs. an actual colony (like Hong Kong was then.) _________________ It was the year of fire… the year of destruction… the year we took back what was ours. It was the year of rebirth… the year of great sadness… the year of pain… and the year of joy. It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed. The year is 2261. I didn't watch it simply because I'm not a fan of weddings, though I caught up on the news of it all later that night. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.

We're going to have to cancel the scavenger hunt activity. It won't work out how we wanted for several reasons. Sorry. On the bright side, tomorrow is TPM viewing day! Meet in the chatbox at 8:00 EST tomorrow night, and have your copy of Episode 1 ready to roll. I'm really looking forward to this!

But I also heard the Queen's husband isn't the "King" per say, which I found strange cause won't Kate become the Queen when William becomes King? As it stands, Prince Charles will become king once the Queen dies - however (and this is the important bit) she may decree that he won't, and will choose Prince William as her successor. Prince Charles can still be king, the only thing that hasn't happened because he remarried, was that Camilla was not named as the Princess of Wales, but is now known as the Duchy of Cornwall. This was done out of respect for Diana. (Funny side note, on Prince Charles and Camilla's wedding day I was doing work experience with the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment!). When Charles is king, she will be the King's Consort. Prince Phillip isn't the king, because being a king denotes that he's the reigning monarch. He stayed a prince so that Queen Elizabeth would be the reigning monarch instead. As for Kate Middleton, she is now known as the Duchess of Cambridge. Which, as far as I'm aware, is the highest peerage in the realm. Once Prince Charles becomes king, or dies, William will become Prince of Wales, and she Princess of Wales. However (sorry, convoluted, I know) no woman of non royal blood can be known as a Princess, but she will - at least in the media (until she becomes Princess of Wales, but not before then). At the moment she is known as HRH Princess William of Wales. When Prince William is king I don't think she will be known as queen. but princess.
