If you liked the story of Kyp and and the ghost of Sithmases Past story that was touched upon in I, Jedi, then you should by all means get it. However, it's somewhat of a balancing act for me. I liked that story, but I wasn't a fan of Daala's appearance. On the whole I'd suggest getting it.

Based on the recommendations here, I put Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter on hold. I'm not really a Darth Maul fan, but the droids and Paven sound interesting.

The thing about JAT is that you get the first Jedi, Luke founding the Praxeum, the intro of Daala, Exar Kun, Han and Chewie as slaves on Kessel, the intro of Kyp Durron and Kyp's whole dark history with what he did to earn his reputation. Plus you see the very beginnings of Jacen's greatness. I guess you can get all that from Wookie but IMO it's worth the read to get it first hand. There's really a lot of stuff in JAT.

Personally, I, Jedi is one of my favorite books, but Coran doesn't tangle with Daala. She's pretty much out of I, Jedi. Instead you get a different crazy, female ex-imperial -- who does happen to more than hit on Coran. Wink
