Heres my thoughts on it, I had hoped for more movement in the Abeloth plot as we have leant nearly nothing about her at all its book seven and we don't knwo what race she is of nothing beside she has drawn some of Lukes loved ones and can take over force using groups with ease but they haven't showed us why its so easy for her to do this in so short a time, she turns up just before Luke and Ben and Vestara and has they whole group bent to her will i for one would like to see how she does this.

I loved the interaction between Luke and Ben yet again in this book it seems so natural and at ease with each other and none of the actions towards each other seem off after what they have been though. The only thing i thought was odd is between this and Vortex was looks view on Vestara he went from not trusting her to thinking he and Ben might not be able to bring her to the light after all.

I like the letters from Vestara added alot to her as a charactor and showed the differance between her up bring and that of Ben's, and shows her changing as the story unfolds natural as at the brging and even the mid way point of FOTJ she wouldn't of done or thought some of the things she has in this book such as when the sith that attack them and used the force what it would do to innocents.

Allana i thought it showed how she is maturing and growing up and not forcing her as well, she didn't understand her force visions when she had them, which is right for how old she is and they didn't have her fighting a full sith Saber by her self.

Han and Leia were back on there A game and at the best their humour and interaction was what you expect from a couple married for as long as them and how they both played to their strengths. The best line in FOTJ for me was "join me Han and together we will rule the Galaxy as husband and wife" had me laughing out loud. And how Leia dealt with the force vision comforting Allana while not disbelieving them telling Han about them (even if it did happen off screen her telling him the details). If the one thing is being shown is you never want to threat Leia's loved ones with how she dealt with the Saber who was threatening Allana was how it should of been. This is the first book i felt that has got her balance right for the first time since NJO.

this, i think also, is the second best fotj book. It had tons of humor in it, and it was a enjoyment to read .my favorite humor part on the Han section, though, would have been at the senate talking to the Bothan. He was hilarious throughout the book, and i agree, the Han and Leia humor was pretty funny . Aaron Allston waas on a role with this book

As I've said, I enjoyed this book so very much. Of course, there were a few niggles, but quite minor that I'll not bother mentioning them.

The part I enjoyed most were the political machinations on Coruscant. Indeed, I liked it so much that I was annoyed when it would go back to the Nam Chorios plot! Not saying I didn't like that - I did - but I just loved the political story. It could have been its own standalone book in the series, and I would have been happy.

As for Boba Fett - well, yeah, nothing really made him stand out, but I knew a hint of what's to come in the next book before I'd read it, so I wasn't particularly bothered by that. Though I do have a question for you all, regarding him and Daala. I have the impression that they have a significant backstory. It wasn't something I got from this series, but a thought that's been rattling around in my mind for a while. Could that be from something I'd read in LOTF? Or something of my own imagination?

What else is there? Ah. Vestara. She's grown on me. But I don't think she'll ever be a proper Jedi. But I could see her joining the Imperial Knights. I'd be okay with that, as it'd provide some useful stories that could parallel what happens in the Legacy comics in later books.

Allana. Hmm. I was pleased with her, and that storyline. Though I didn't think Tenel Ka would die for a second. I'm guessing they'll save that for when Allana is in her late teens. As for the kid, well, she was written well. Smart, but not too much so, and with just the right amount of kiddiness.

So...anyone else think it's a foregone conclusion that there'll be a formation of the Imperial Knights in this series? And possibly even a Solo/Fel marriage? It seems to be going that way, I believe.

Oh! And did anyone else read Boba's 'Get in. If you want to escape.' line as 'come with me, if you want to live'?

And there was another parody, later in the book, but I've forgotten it. Anyhoozelbees, I'll stop now.
