Okay now that Skuldren -- the moderator Razz -- has totally derailed this thread...

I really like Ahsoka. I think she makes a great apprentice for Anakin, I'm really looking forward to the rest of her story. I think they've showcased her growth really well.

If you don't want to discuss Ahsoka, Reep, there's a simple solution. Don't post in the thread.

I think maybe he meant the discussion about Bothans and humans and teen wolves.... Wink

But so we're on topic, I've gone from loathing Ahsoka to being ok with her, so that says a lot for her character development.

Padme, I have to admit I totally loathed her in the TCW movie that introduced the whole series. I really hated her "Skyguy" thing. Gah. That still makes me gag.

I'm glad that they given her some development and depth, and Anakin as a consequence has grown as well.

Because the one thing I really like about TCW is seeing Anakin as the Jedi Knight they talked about what we never saw in ROTS. I like this blank being filled in.

Yeah, although she's still not my favorite, I am grateful that she's progressed from the initial "Skyguy" corniness.

As for Anakin, I am extremely happy we're getting to see him as a Knight, as well. I think people's perception of his character suffered because how the films took him basically straight from Padawan to Sith, not counting the first 20 minutes or so of RotS. That said, I think TCW sometimes leans a bit too heroic with him, but on the whole, I'm usually pleased.

Same here. I wasn't a fan of Ahsoka to begin with. In fact, I think the writers knew how annoying she was, indeed, tried their best to make her as annoying as possible, just so we'd be so happy when she matured that we'd want more!

Well, they've succeeded with me Confused Laughing .

In Wild Space there's some really good Ahsoka stuff, especially interaction between her and Anakin. If you read it though I suggest stopping with WS. Miller's Gambit duology is dreadful. Mary Sue abounds!

Wild Space was indeed fantastic. I rather liked No Prisoners, as well. Pallaeon telling Ahsoka to find more appropriate clothing was a highlight. Wink

I actually liked the Gambit books, but good night, Star Wars has never seen such a Mary Sue!

Wasn't Taria Damsin dreadful? Talk about your author insertions. Very Happy

Can't say I cared for No Prisoners. Typical Traviss product. Same plot as always; different setting. Same characters; different names.
