I don't see networks surpassing 4G for a long time, unless the carriers start using 5G and 6G as marketing terms, since technically the networks aren't truly 4G right now. It's not until they average 1 GBPS data speeds that they're truly 4G. Though the ITU later caved to the carriers and said they could label networks capable of eventually achieving that speed as 4G. Though honestly the only one that really meets that is Verizon's LTE network; T-Mobile just labeled their "3.5G" HSPA+ network as 4G which resulted in AT&T whining about it to the ITU, and now a year later AT&T is calling their HSPA+ network 4G as well. Which will be interesting when they roll out their LTE network, because the phones they're selling as "4G" phones like the Infuse and the Atrix won't be able to use the LTE networks; they only have HSPA+ antennas. I'd also heard that due to some software bug or limiter, their 4G network is slower than their 3G network, but that may have been corrected.
I'd also heard that people whom took their iPhones for repair to Apple would receive the phone back with the Phillips screws replaced with proprietary screws that wouldn't allow the customer to open the device themselves. _________________ "Trust not the words of a poet, as he is born to seduce.
