Not if doing so would mean that the spores might advance again. She was keeping them at bay through her sheer will power and Force use there for a while. To deviate beyond the safe barrier she made of her womb to protect Ben may have killed her right then and there- hence it would risk Ben to speed it up. Cerrinea Master Joined: 09 Jun 2009 Posts: 1410 Also, in the RC books Etain almost lost her baby and nearly died because she sped up the pregnancy. She had to stop it and go on bedrest. So probably not the thing to do even when you're healthy. Undoubtedly it would have killed Mara and Ben. _________________ Roqoo Depot co-founder.

Queen Padmè Skywalker Master Joined: 17 Jul 2009 Posts: 4926 Location: Sitting in front of a fireplace on Naboo exchanging pathetic dialogue with Anakin I had totally forgotten that Etain spend up her pregnancy and Tenel Ka had slowed hers. Those kind of Jedi "abilities" kind of creep me out. _________________ All things die, Anakin Skywalker, even stars burn out. So this is how liberty dies....with thunderous applause. To me it doesn't sound like a wise thing thing to alter the span of a pregnancy and something that could potentially go wrong... Werehunter Knight Joined: 08 Apr 2011 Posts: 299 I don't know why, but for some reason slowing down a pregnancy by using the Force doesn't seem as bad as speeding it up. Though both seem wrong. Since I haven't read the RC novels, what was the reasoning behind Etain speeding it up?

She's pregnant so Skirata sent her off to this really crappy planet where fighting is going on (she and Darman had met there). Then she has this crisis because she sped up the pregnancy so Skirata then takes her to this resort-type planet. She also sped up the pregnancy to keep it from Darman -- which Skirata made her do. Then Skirata turns around and tells Darman about the baby after it's born. The whole thing made no sense whatsoever. _________________ Roqoo Depot co-founder.

I'm kind of curious what the resort planet was as well. Resort planets are awesome.
