Dark Lens by Cédric Delsaux

Dark Lens is a collection of photographs taken in Dubai by artist Cédric Delsaux. All of the photos feature a Star Wars character or Star Wars ship and have an interesting Star Wars vibe to them. Delsaux's Star Wars pictures have been around a while, but this is a new collection with higher quality. He actually received help from George Lucas in using 3D models this time around instead of using statues. They're pretty good! I like the odd mixing of real world with fictional beings and objects, especially when it's done well. Certainly, the new ones look better when you compare them with the older ones - which just looked photoshopped in.

The article you link in your original post talks of an AT-AT shrouded in mist overlooking a highway. Do you reckon that photo is the same one?

Bad thing, for me at least, is that this book is coming out in France first, so I'm not sure how long it will take before it's available over here. England might be more accessible to getting it sooner.

Well, it's nice to look at once and real well done, but I wouldn't buy a whole book with these kind of pictures.
I just like Star Wars best when it's in that galaxy far far away I guess. Wink

Cool droids, but am I the only one seeing how bad those cars look? It might be a kind of vehicle for disabled people they use in France, but if it's not it was very badly fotoshopped..

Yeah, but I couldn't really tell what make it is, so I had nothing to compare it to, so I merely presume the car's supposed to look like that.

What I will point out is the odd mix of CIS droids and Empire shuttles.

Like a Senate Guard looking at the Falcon flying by or a Stormtrooper accompanied by Battle Droids.

Art not canon. Wink

Would make a good coffee table book, or something fun to flip through at the bookstore. Would also be nice to just have digital access to all the pics. Could make some nice desktop wallpapers.
