Werehunter Knight Joined: 08 Apr 2011 Posts: 300 Actually I would rather see him create a new squadron. One of my issues with Legacy of the Force was having Jania and then Jacen take over command of Rouge Squadron instead of some other squadron. They've become too dependent on the Rouges and would like them to create some more. One possibility I considered was having a book series based on the test pilot squadron that Sal joined in Legacy of the Force. With a set up like that they could constantly switch out the ships they use to allow more varied plots.

Star Wars Books announced it on Facebook, and that's Del Rey's official Star Wars voice on Facebook. As for the title, Mercy Kill could indeed be a ship, a name of an operation, it could even be say the name of some mission some evil Moffs cook up. Maybe in regards to killing Jag, a mercy kill to save the Empire. In that case the Wraiths would be there to stop them. _________________

In my mind, the 13 ABY flashbacks kinda makes sense, since Starfighters of Adumar was set in that same year (And it was Allston's last X-Wing novel. Well, untill Mercy Kill) And I do have to agree that Michael Stackpole should write an eleventh X-Wing novel after Mercy Kill comes out.
