Well the brief glimpse of Fred made it hard to tell it was him.

I literally had no clue who it was when I saw the movie. I had to look it up afterward to see who it was.

*glowers at Skuldren and Crash* The twins are much beloved in my heart and I'm rather miffed that the impact of that scene was lessened in the movie.

Yeah, it had zero impact on me. The books did a good job, but the movie failed to deliver on that count. It just went too fast and brief to be effective.

Skuls was the one who didn't use the tags! I am innocent! Wink

And now, folks, I withdraw from Harry Potter discussion for the forseeable future. My dad told me he prefers I not participate in the franchise and I respect his wishes.

Bitter blow but you're doing the right thing. I could link a few articles if you think he would be willing to change his mind.

Thanks, Reep, but he has his reasons, ones that I understand, even if I'll miss the series.

Well in my defense, my comments didn't actually spoil anything. I made sure to be very vague in what I was talking about. Cool

And besides, these books have been out forever. There's no such thing as Harry Potter spoilers anymore. It's almost a requisite that you read the books before you see the movies, otherwise you won't understand anything that's going on.

That's true. And that reminds me of this article on cracked.com. It's about a guy who's never seen the movies trying to figure out what happens in the previous movies just from the trailers.

The eyes and general facial expressions of Voldemort reminded me of Biff Tannen and Buford Tannen. That is all.

Finally managed to see it last night. It was pretty good. Quite pleased with it - though I feel it lacked a 'none shall pass' moment.
