Saw this and figured I'd share...

Now I'm still not sure if I'm going to get the game or not...but that Malgus statue would be pretty sweet to have!

I bought the expensive collector's edition of Star Wars Galaxies back when it was released. That was not money well spent.

The journal of Gnost-Dural, annotated by Satele Shan, looks interesting, as do the galaxy map for the TOR era and the soundtrack CD.

I'd feel better about TOR if it was free-to-play.

I'd feel better about TOR if it were possible to play on my machine! Laughing

It's interesting to note the Gnost Dural journal is annotated by Satele Shan. I had placed Dural as much later in the timeline.

Same here. I'm still not sure about joining this game, but if it where free to play I could at least take a look first...

Speculation is now that the collector's edition could be around $200

Correction, it's official now with the pre-orders. The Collector's Edition is $149.99.

Well the statue alone is worth $50. But I'm not real enthusiastic about spending $150 bucks on something that comes along with a monthly bill and more time consumption than I can handle right now.

Also I heard that the game is actually suppose to come out "holiday season" this year.

A few years ago I swore off buying more expensive SKUs of games because ultimately after a few months or so you don't really care about any of the bonuses whether it be a statue or a soundtrack or an in-game item. Since then I think I've bought a few anyway.

Unless you're a huge collector of miscellaneous stuff, which I'm not and I have too much stuff as it is, is having the map and journal and statue going to be worthwhile for you a year after the game comes out?

Well, for me, yes. But I wouldn't be getting the game anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Besides, I hear they're sold out now.

Last I looked I think Target had pre-orders available, but that was a couple days ago.

Never fear Luke92. Go directly on the game website and type in star wars the old republic special edition and it will come up. I preordered last night and it will set you back 129.99 Wink
