Jaina has always been a great character, I'm glad that she's finally getting back to herself in the LOTF series.

You see, I haven't seen the great character she can become, and am looking forward to(hopefully) see her in her best light.

I'm kind of hoping that she doesn't beat Caedus. I don't want her dead because she needs to start the Fel dynasty with Jagged, but I don't want her to kill him because I think he has potential to be a decent Sith lord (even though he hasn't been a very excellent one so far).

Exactly. I think that, if Caedus survived the series, he could develop so much.

And I'm a Jaina-Jag fan as well. Very Happy

Well, it seems that the ending was bittersweet because

But we still will probably get to see her and Jag start the Fel dynasty, so I guess it works out.

Hmm, am still not too impressed with Jaina, or rather, her handling of her character by Troy Denning...I liked Karen Traviss' view of her. She actually sounded like someone with deep inner conflicts in Revelation, but in Invincible..not so much, eh? I don't want to ruin it for anyone that hasn't read Invincible, but different authors in one inter-connected series? Well, at least we get to see different authors' views on the same characters. Now if only I had perfected Force lightning, then TD and I would discuss where things should have gone differently.. Twisted Evil

I must agree with you jedipoodoo, I had high hopes for Jaina after her Mando training. She got all her confidence up, her focus was straight, everything was perfectly aligned for her character. Now I won't say that Invincible blew or destroyed what was accomplished in the previous novel, but it certainly didn't achieve what it could have. Part of me wonders whether the alternative fight that Denning wrote would have been better than the one in the book. In his Q&A's on the starwars.com message boards he did say that he'd included Shatterpoint in the battle, then decided to take it out. Though it's possible that was the only difference in the alternate ending and it wouldn't have made any difference, who knows...

But be gone with all that disappointment, now we have Millennium Falcon to look forward to, and perhaps a Jaina who is ready to finally move on with her life. (But if that Sword of the Jedi prophecy has anything to do with it, she's utterly doomed for the rest of her life)

Indeed Darth Skuldren, I believe Jaina may be doomed to be alone with the sad violins playing in the background, and her own personal little rain cloud following her around with the deepest of sighs occasionally escaping her lips.... Laughing Or maybe she can finally get her life in order. She has much potential, and with some other characters now out of the way, perhaps she can get her life in order!

I've always loved Jaina...but she was always second to Jacen in my eyes in terms of Solo children. Unlike many, I loved Invincible and her especially, and because of that book, she is now my Number 1 favorite Solo child and one of my favorite characters of all time. Although nobody can beat Tenel Ka...

To me Jaina died when she killed Jacen in a dark and un-Jedi -like manner. If Jacen really died in YV war, like Jaina herself claimed, then Jaina herself perished in Invincible

I don't think Jaina "died" in Invincible. Why would that be? She was the only Jedi who wisened up and did what had to be done. Sure, she'll change, but surely not in the manor Jacen did.

No, I agree with you Rouge 77. She should have listened to Caedus about helping Tenel Ka and Allan. He was defenseless.

First, I'd argue that a Sith Lord is never defenseless and, while I won't say that Jaina died, I think the possibility is there. In the last chapter of Invincible, we see that Jaina is doubting and questioning her decision. That alone tells me that Jaina may have realized her actions were...on the edge shall we say. If, by MF, we find that she has completely justified her actions (as Caedus did in LotF), she will have been lost.

And that would really suck for Han and Leia. They lost Anakin and, as a result of that, lost Jacen and then, as a result of losing Jacen, lost Jaina. Rolling Eyes
