You've never seen a Magic 8 ball? It's a black ball with an 8 on it, it's actually the 8 ball from the game of Pool, and it has a little window type thing on the bottom. The ball has some kind of liquid in it, with a little die of sorts floating around. When you shake the ball and then let it settle, the die will float up to the little window and you'll see one of the messages printed on the sides of the die. They're all generic messages like, "Yes", "No", "Of course".

So the idea is that you ask the ball a question, shake it up, and then see what answer it gives. YouTube it, I'm sure you can find a video. Smile

Yeah, to tell the truth I never saw one but thanks for explaining it to me! I heard it mentioned several times in books of course but they never said what it was.

Well the answers seem slightly less relevant to the question than a Magic 8 Ball but the coolness factor more than makes up for it! Cool

EDIT: it is actually cool to also see what Vader says when you just hit the "ask" button without asking a question.
