Sorry for the long hiatus all, I got pretty busy doing archaeology work this summer and just didn't have the time to really be checking in on the forums. I'm hoping though that this fall I'll be more active again. To be fair to you I should say that I can't promise I'll be super active at times depending on how much master's thesis research sucks up my time as the semester goes into full swing.

In any event I hope you all have had a great summer and hopefully will be seeing more of you guys in the coming weeks.

I am doing military sites archaeology at a site from the American Revolution. Specifically the battle I am examining is part of what is known as the Sullivan Campaign, in essence a Patriot army destroyed every single Native American village in Central/Western New York along with their way of life to both open the area up to white settlement and to remove the Native Americans of the area as a threat.

So needless to say its a very politically loaded site.
