12.
12 is a very important number in religion. Or, at least, it pops up a lot. In Ancient Greece, there were 12 Olympians, the main gods of the Pantheon. The Norse god Odin had 12 sons. Arthur won 12 battles against the Saxon invaders. Jacob of Bible fame had 12 sons. Jesus had 12 disciples (though religious scientists believed he had many more followers in his band, but there were simply 12 who were called disciples). There are 12 days of Christmas. In Islam, there are 12 Imams - legitimate successors of Muhammed. In Wiccan tradition, a coven is a meeting of 12 adepts.
It is also noted that there are not 12 constellations of the zodiac (which are only loosely associated with the signs of the zodiac), but 13. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.
