You'd think by this point, they'd have figured out that Jar-Jar centric episodes are not in high demand. Wink

I thought Bombad Jedi used Jar-Jar well. The writer of that episode seemed to take into account that many fans strongly dislike this character and ended up making the episode actually funny.

I'll be watching this episode later on today with my son.
I've bred a fine Star Wars fan here and watching the new episodes of the Clone Wars together is such a fun thing to do. Very Happy

I actually really enjoyed this episode. I wouldn't call it Jar Jar centric, although he did play a big role. The end was very interesting when you consider Anakin's feelings on attachment. And Dooku...I love him so much.

Although I was upset about:

I'm watching now. I'll give my thoughts when I'm done. Unless I forget.

EDIT: I agree, JM, it was surprisingly enjoyable. I liked how this episode felt more connected to the movies. One thing I thought was kind of odd though is when Jar Jar said the necklace was used for good. Mind control used for good? Seriously? Neutral And, yes, Dooku was awesome.

Having read the Secret History of Star Wars, I am convinced this is the sort of thing GL wants to make, what he will keep making. And that when he does, the result will exist within the same continuity as stuff I do like, supercede it, and then both inspire and legitimize other EU stories of the same type. And that thought repulses me.

So why am I still a SW fan....?

The episode started off a little rocky with all the Gungans. I did not like the voice acting for the old Gungan at all. Sounded way too much like Ziro. However, I had no issues with Jar Jar. His character didn't bother me at all. In fact...I kind of liked him in this episode to the point that I thought he actually made it more enjoyable for being in it.

That said, I loved the duel with Grievous. I thought that turned out really well. Finally we get to see Grievous get his butt kicked in the show without him running away. It was very well done.

Then the show cranked it up notch with the Anakin vs Dooku battle. That really impressed me. The way they would show Dooku's face as he watched Anakin being shocked, or when he pompously turned his back on him. Plus the music did a lot to punctuate the scenes and action. Overall, that scene was one of the best scenes I've seen in the whole series.

Messa too.

I was really bummed there. And that one was like the ONLY Gungan not to talk like Jar-Jar. seems GL wants to make the whole race as inept sounding as ol Jar-Jar. Where as the one who's loss upset me I loved the voice of the character it lead a certain real feeling to the Gungan species that Jar Jar kind of leaves you going "really?!"

Wait, did they kill three Gungans or two in this episode?
