He says the same thing I said. Their priorities are stupid. They should fix the lightsabers completely before changing the door to Jabba's palace or adding a Dug, Or they add sparks to the junk scene in Empire without fixing the lightsabers at all.

I really can't understand Lucas' obsession with altering the films if he doesn't care if the visual effects are inconsistent or wrong. Unless the lightsabers are supposed to look completely different from film to film. And the fixes they do are inconsistent, like the blue escape pod lid is fixed in one scene but not another, or the lightsabers being fixed in one scene but not another (or at all in Empire). It just indicates that Lucas isn't driven by perfectionism at all when he alters his films. Maybe he's just trolling the fans.

The fixes are particularly annoying with the green lightsaber on the Millennium Falcon, where they fixed it for a few frames and showed this off to the press as having fixed it. But then it's green again for the stuff they didn't show to the press.

Oh, Sithspawn! The more I've read about this edition and looked into it the more tempted I am to get this. I guess the Star Wars collector in me is still kicking lol Some special features are winning out for getting it.

a friend from Blockbuster got A New Hope and we watched it with commentary. Alec Guiness recordings were a good touch.

I watched TPM last night. The quality of picture of blu-ray is fantastic. I couldn't help but look at the little things. There was nothing new during the film that I noticed apart from the Pod race where they introduced the racers. I'm sure they introduced a new racer at the beginning.

If it's your first time, you should definitley watch them release order... for so many reasons. I tend to watch them cronological order now though.

I wish I had the funds for this. I saw a $69 Blu-Ray Player at Walmart the other day. I was tempted to buy it until I realized I couldn't afford any Blu-Ray DVDs to go with it.

Found an addition while skipping around Revenge of the Sith.

When Obi-Wan fights General Grevious and the clones interrupt the battle, they are now very vocal (shouting things like "move! move!"). I actually like it, it's a competent tweak.

Has anyone been able to confirm DVDactive's changes/ lack of changes yet?

I found those articles pretty intriguing
http://www.dvdactive.com/editorial/articles/star-wars-the-changes-part-one.html
http://www.dvdactive.com/editorial/articles/star-wars-the-changes-part-two.html

So those who watched A New Hope-

DId they really add the wall in front of R2 to forget about said new addition a few frames later? And the Blue top of the Escape Pod- was it fixed in all scenes but the "Look Sir! Droids" scene? So many scenes I'm curious about. Like why fix a scene to forget about the rest of the problem?
