What's your take on the prices for it?

£46.14 for 6 months? Bit excessive or is that the norm for MMO's? Xbox Live is £40 a year.

My cautious optimism has been lowered to absolute pessimism. The benefit to this is that if the game is good it will be a pleasant surprise.

The monthly fee doesn't sound TOO bad. Isn't that the same monthly fee as World of Warcraft?

As long as we get a reasonable degree of service for that cost, I'm cool with it. I'm told WoW is very good with customer and technical support. If some glitch messes up your character, or if someone is cheating, they fix it really quickly. So you get what you pay for. I'm just hoping we get what we pay for.

The fees are actually cheaper than WoW's, as I understand.

The prices depend if you play often. I don't think they are too bad I will be getting 6 months.

So are these months in terms of gameplay? Or is it like a month starting when the account is activated? Because if it's a month of gameplay, these are really solid prices.

Month of real time, not playing time.

Plus when you buy the game you get 30 days free with it then its up to the user how much they want to add on after that.

Another quick question then: is it per Calendar month (e.g. $14.99 for the month of February?) or is it per 30-day time period?

I ask because if it's based on calendar months, it's in our interest to buy the game in early January. Try and get it so the 30-day period ends on January 31 or February 1-2.

Another quick thing: is it possible to suspend accounts for a month? I ask because I travel for work sometimes, and it might be in my interest to be all "I'm out of the office for two weeks in March; maybe I can pay in February, and then put the game on hold and not pay for March, and resume in April?"

Yeah, I used to pay $14.99 for a month of WoW. I don't think they had a multiple-month subscription option. If you do that with TOR, it'll be cheaper.

Grrrr, I'm still debating whether or not to play. I don't game, at all, but I was huge into WoW. I'm afraid if I get into TOR, a game which actually involves Star Wars, I'll get sucked in even more. Razz

But I have a Mac, so even if I want to play I have to set it up to run Windows first.

Its a 30 day subscription, and its basically the same amount as wow.

Im hoping to save up some money and do one of the cheaper, long term subscriptions and save a little money in the long run.

And i am extremely excited to hear about the dec. 20th release date. My parents just told me they were teaming up with my other close relatives to buy me a new shiny laptop for Christmas as well Smile
