Dude, you just turned 18. You HAVE to vote.

It's my democratic privilege to not have to vote.

Here's the main problem, as I see it:
Everyone in the 18-25 age range has seen what a bad job McGuinty did (I was a university student when he raised tuition, and a homeowner when he put in place the HST).
Everyone in the 25-40 age range remembers vividly what a bad job Harris did (I was in grade 6 during the teacher's strike, and the hospital of my hometown was almost closed).
Everyone in the 40+ range remembers what a bad job Bob Rae did.
That's all three parties.

Thus, I'm hesitant to vote. All three parties suck.

And the liberals have irritated me this week. I almost rear-ended someone reading one of their signs on the road (don't put signs with a lot of writing on them on a bloody highway!) and their automated phone system hijacked my phone line last night. LAME. |
This irritates me as well. Not the signs so much but all the pre-election stuff does nothing to excite me about voting. I hate how the candidates bicker like babies. I mean these are the people running our country? Oy.
Just as a disclaimer, I LOVE Canada. Anyone who's been on this site for any length of time knows that. Looking at these politicians, I have no clue how, but somehow someone is doing a fantastic job. There are few places in the world I'd even consider moving to. _________________
