I thought the movie was totally awesome, as well. Was it as good as the first? Ehhh...no. And Aslan looked fake to me a lot. But it was still great! I really like The Call, too. Actually...I put it to a slideshow of Star Wars (surprise, surprise). Thought it went well with that beloved genre as well. Very Happy

You can see it on YouTube, BTW. Just type in 'Mara Skywalker The Call', and it'll pop up. It's the one by AgentSharpie007. I have the link under the 'Creative Works' category on here somewhere.

Anyway, Reepicheep, my sister said she changed her NarniaWeb account and now she's Checkers. Wanted me to pass that along. And now I have! So...adios! Smile

I'm glad you like it and I agree the first is still better. And I have seen Checkers on the forum.

She says she doesn't remember seeing you. But now that she knows your name (now that I remembered to tell her), she'll probably notice. Smile

The forums on Narniaweb are a lot bigger than here and there are a lot more members. I don't post that often either. I've seen Your video of The Call. I t was really amazing! Certain parts, I was on the verge of tears. My favourite parts are "Until it was a battle cry", "Just because everythings changing doesn't mean it's never been this way before" and "Now we're back to the beginning". It's really cool how the images matched the lyrics

Thank you, thank you! That was a team effort by my sister and I. Yeah, wasn't, "Until it was a battle cry" so emotional?! Sad And the other parts you mentioned as well. I'm a major fan of the words going with the pictures. That always make it so much more meaningful to me. If you liked those, check out the other couple I've got posted. I think the Anakin one is great. But anyway, so glad you liked it! Smile

Yes, it does tend to have that effect. Sad

Okay, so Disney has announced they've had it with Narnia. Sad
Walden Media still has the rights to all seven books, but, unless they can find a studio to back them, it's endgame. I'm really disappointed with Disney. Walt used to make movies to bring smiles to people's faces, now (whoever's running it these days) only cares about money. Narnia is beloved by so many and $420,000,000 is a LOT. Even if it didn't make near as much as Wardrobe (740,000,000). Right now we'll just have to wait and see.

Sucky news, but I kind of saw this coming. Maybe the rights-holders should think about scaling it down a bit, and releasing the remaining books as made for tv movies. Sci-Fi channel seems to be hurting for new material; they might be open to financing this.

Made for tv? Confused
The biggest thing that annoys me, as I've said before, is that 420m is probably more than any of their modern clunky cartoons make (aside from Pixar, of course Razz ). MGM wanted to make it big with The Hobbit, but it ultimately went to someone else. Could they swoop in and save us?

I saw this on some channel's ticker and was disappointed to hear Disney announce this. I don't think all seven books have ever been adapted into movies, so I would think of how long this run would go. I hope they do find a studio but we'll have to wait and see.

All seven have never turned into movies. There was a cartoon of LWW and BBC made the first four. But more importantly...
FOX HAS PICKED UP NARNIA!

Ah Fox. Star Wars, the Simpsons, Narnia...is there anything they can't do?
