A poem inspired by Chapter 22 in Abyss from a romanticized point of view. I haven't shared it here.

DAMNATION IS MY NAME

Damnation is my name.

My heart shivers,

Its beat the mindless noise of chattering teeth

My destiny is but a quiver, held back by your absence

I wish that my words could, once again, be flowers at your feet, my warrior queen.

Death is an echo as I shimmer upon the lake

Your smile always put me in check

Now your teary green eyes are a mirror of my moral failures

Your forgiveness cannot be uttered for I am beyond it.

I did what god couldn't do. I made peace.

My triumphant perfection and fatal flaws are one in the same

I am Jacen. I am Jedi. I am Sith. I am neither.

Everything is untruth. All a lie sold not by the devil but by a bird.

Conscience is a harsh judge, rapping his gavel upon my grave.

That's really a rather good poem, DLE! I just feel slightly bad about having to ask (because I don't remember) what happened in Chapter 22 that caused this poem to come to life?

Thanks! In Abyss, Ben and Luke cross to the Lake of Apparitions and meet Jacen Solo there. It was inspired by this:

"Damnation," Jacen supplied. He turned towards the Mists of Forgetfulness, then added, "But Ben, if you really need to know who she is, the lake doesn't sketch forever. Just keep walking---you have all the time in the universe."
