I hope Rex will be in this one. The reasoning behind his his mixed armour is what got me excited for season 4.

Can I just say: last Friday, I looked on the "Guide" (the TV's guide, provided through the cable company), and clicked "Info", and the guide said "Darkness on Umbara". I was all "SWEET! Canada's going to be an episode ahead again, like at the end of season 2!"

So I tuned in, and it was just the season premiere. LAME.

I absolutely loved this episode. The graphics, the lighting, the sound, all of it came together to make this already one of my favourites. Nice to see a Jedi who thought of the clones as nothing more than cannon fodder. Well, not nice in that way, but I remember reading the RC books, which talked of Jedi who were of that mindset, and also watch TCW, that had Jedi who were completely the opposite.

On a side-note, why does Rex have a CT/number? I always thought he was one of the original ARCs, and thus be an ARC/number clone?

Two thumbs up for this one!

It did so many things right. The battle weariness of the clones really came through in how they fought. The Umbarans are the first human army the clones have fought in the show so it made the fighting more intense. Shooting a person point-blank is worlds away from shooting a droid point-blank. Even the environment and voice tones helped to give an atmosphere of weariness.

Add in the new Jedi and the clones find their situation that much worse. I liked him because he didn't seem cardboard but like someone who could actually exist (unlike many TCW antagonists). It helped that he was actually on the 'good side'.

Even just this episode makes Order 66 much more believable. It'll be cool to see what they do with the clones in the future.

I found Master Krell to be refreshing. It's nice to see someone being a bit more harsh with the clones. He's not their friend, he's their commander, and they have to follow his orders. Also, I loved the collapsible double-bladed lightsabers. I hope we get to see a lot more of those in the next episode.

I liked this episode alot. First off, it was another nice clone oriented episode. Number two, it paced with action and combat. The environment looked neat, and the battles between the Umbarans and the Clones was nice and intense. It had a pretty good feel for mimicking combat elements and situations.

Adding Krell to the mix was like injecting a little more Karen Traviss into the TCW. I mean the Jedi are the good guys, but with 10,000 of them, there's bound to be a few bad ones, especially with them being forced into combat roles where they are necessarily a good fit. In reality, you don't always get a good commander in the military, and some commanders are very harsh, like Krell. It'll be interesting to see where they go with it.
