Summary: General Krell orders Captain Rex and the clone troopers of the 501st Legion to conquer a heavily fortified Umbaran airbase, and will not accept anything less than victory. It is an almost certain suicide mission, unless the clones can use their ingenuity to defeat their new enemy.

I liked this episode to. In fact I thought this was better than the previous one since there was less Krell. Cool

The Umbaran robot/vehicles were pretty awesome. I like the strangeness of their technology. It's makes it unique from what we've seen before. And the combat scenes were pretty good. One of the little details I liked was when the clones were finishing off the wounded Umbarans. That little glimpse of the cold darkness of battle...I liked that.

EDIT: Another excellent episode. There are are still two episodes left and already this has been my favourite TCW arc in history. They would have to really screw up the next two to change my mind.

It was cool to hear one of the clones yell "Scrag" and did anyone else notice the one clone with the arrow on his helmet? Clearly an Aang reference!

@Skuldren: I liked that moment too. They're becoming Stormtroopers.

Ah, but Stormtroopers can hit sandcrawlers and Jawas with no problems. It's humans they have issues with. Wink

Ah, but they can hit humans, too. Remember the boarding of the Tantive? They hit the troops just fine, but missed the droids. And you'd think they'd be natural at shooting droids.

But I have a theory (if I can digress briefly) I believe they didn't shoot our heroes because it's a lot more difficult to shoot someone who looks like a real person. Or being, I should say. Once they see an enemy in uniform in their cross-hairs, they have no problem. There's a name for it - I'll have to look it up tomorrow.

I think it's because they had the Maker's Blessing. Very special save throw that only experience rpers can do...

Well, there is an official explanation, called the stormtrooper effect, where defective crystals are blamed for throwing the accuracy off by at least 20%. There is another explanation, put forward by Mike Wong of stardestroyer.net, saying they were under orders not to shoot our heroes.
