Imperial Commando Series Speculation

Mara Jade Skywalker Master Joined: 15 Feb 2008 Posts: 5359 Location: Beyond Shadows Oh, I saw that. I am so excited! The commandos are quite dear to my heart, and I absolutely love Traviss' works. Anything she can come up with about the commandos/clones/Imperial troopers/Mandalorians, I will be more than happy to read. I'm currently trying to get my hands on In His Image and Two-Edged Sword. But anyway, back to Imperial Commando...I'm hoping that'll show us how the clones transitioned from being clones to stormtroopers. Though they are one and the same...you know what I mean. Because that's always been of interest to me. The Empire had to do something with the clones that were still alive...unless they went with a mass killing, which would just be...senseless as well as pointless. So I would assume the clones became stormtroopers (except for the ones that got away) until they eventually died off. Which shouldn't have been too long. At which point regular recruits would have completely taken over that role. comanderbly Master Joined: 29 Feb 2008 Posts: 745 Location: Denver I am excited by anything Karen Traviss writes. The big question is will she go completely away from the RC characters or will she focus on a new set of characters? My guess is that it will be new characters. The whole transition from clones to recruits could also make for an entertaining read. I wonder if she will address the inability of movie storm troopers to properly aim.

Well, I e-mailed Karen congratulating her about TCW novel and asking her about the IC. When I said there are really two possibilities-- show how the old RC become IC or use the existing Imperial Commandos, she told me there are never only two possibilities. So that could mean any IC novels will also be promo for a IC video game. At any rate I'm exited. I kind of like reading the SW novels that are about non-main characters from the movies (I guess I just like the idea of letting my imagination decide what happened to them afterwards), so this is great news for me! _________________

I imagine that Delta squad will obey order 66, but some of the squad will not survive the encounter.
