As in, where to start getting into the EU.

I'm with Caedus; this is one that I simply could not wait for a TPB of this. And I sort of like the alternative issue cover, but it looks a bit like the older Disney covers, for my liking.

Oh, you mean jumping off the "diving board" and into the EU, I thought you meant jumping off the EU and stopping with SW

The alternate cover reminds me of some of the RPG sourcebook covers, like the one for KOTOR and Legacy. Probably the same artist.

Edit: yep, same guy, Gonzalo Flores

Official cover for DOTJ #2 and a flying rancor.

To be honest, I don't like the art on this one. There's something weird looking about the human figure.

Looks like a computer generated animated image of a human. Like they took a snapshot of a very rough outline of an early animation model. Or maybe it's the hair.

In concept, the flying Rancor looks cool, but are we ready for such a thing? It would at least give weight to Korr's 'There be dragons' line in Crosscurrent.

Yeah, the human looks like bad CGI but the rancor looks awsome. It looks like they're trying to make the human 3D but not the rest.

The human reminds me of Maris Brood from TFU - maybe they based it off that model, and that's why it looks so out of place?

It looks out of place because her tatas aren't falling out of her top. Finally, an anatomically correct female in a comic book. Very Happy

Haha you're right Cerrinea! Still, it looks very non-Star Wars

I think it's the shading on her, it's very bright with no shadows. Too much uniformity in the color.

As for the flying rancor, this isn't the first flying rancor in the EU. Some Sith made some flying rancors in a comic I think or some game expansion. That and Kinect Star Wars is suppose to have flying rancors.

Flying rancor was in a SW RPG. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Shadows_in_the_Force
