I remember in the last book (I think that was Ascension, but I don't remember.) that had Luke offer an explanation, as Cerrinea says, that it was inevitable, as he turned to prevent the Dark Man prophecy from coming true, and save Allana. That's all, I believe, the last book had to say on the matter, and it amounted to about one paragraph.
I was severely disappointed. It, for me, just wasn't a strong enough reason. Indeed, I found it incredibly weak. I'm hoping, too, that it'll be expanded upon in Apocalypse, since it has Killiks in it, and I'm hoping that they'll manage to provide a better reason, but I do worry that they won't, because that paragraph sounded like it was the summary paragraph - a little note to say this storyline has been concluded, here's the explanation, and we won't hear any more on the matter from this point on. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.
