Shadows of the Emprie was a multimedia campaign that included a novel, a game, comics, toys and a soundtrack. This was all carefully planned.

Why are there two versions? And what's the difference? One's 320 pages, and the other's 299. The covers look a little bit different, too:

Actually one just looks blurry, otherwise I'd say they're identical.

Could be a different type set. Maybe they counted some superfluous pages. Maybe the chapter pages got a little more room. I don't it has any added content.
