Is it possible that Centerpoint was created to combat Ratakan technology?

I think it was made before the Rakatans came to power. So my guess is that, while its primary function was to move planets, it could have been used as a weapon of fear to keep the Celestial's slaves in line - much like the role of the Death Star. To expand on that, it could also have been used as an actual weapon, in the waning days of the Celestials, and as the Rakatans started to come into power. Though if that did happen, then it probably wouldn't have been used to great effect, since the Celestials eventually died out, and the Rakatans became the dominant power.

First off, Life, only you would ask about the Umbarans having an incestuous relationship. It didn't cross my mind. I just figured they were so close because they felt a connection with each other that they couldn't experience with any other being in the galaxy. Of course, I'm really close to my siblings so that might have been part of why it didn't set off any alarm bells.

...Back on track, I think Kemp is my favourite EU author right now. I like how he doesn't bite off more than he can chew. He works with a small cast of unknown or little known characters, a relatively minor threat (no one wanting to destroy the galaxy, thank goodness) and creates really compelling stories. The ending freaked me out (in a good way) though! I was looking at my slef in the mirror the next morning and I checked to make sure i still had the tiny scar on my right cheek.

I think that the implications of Jaden having been a clone every time that we see him in FOTJ are amazing. I really hope Kemp gets another book to explain this, or that his duology relates to this somehow.

That's one thing I haven't quite figured out yet, though. We know at the end of Riptide that Jaden is a clone, which means his appearance during FOTJ was his new clone self. However, in that scuffle he had with Nyriss, the One Sith agent tried to use the command phrase on him. Why would he do that unless he thought Jaden was a clone? Does that mean Jaden was the Prime? Was he some epitome of Thrawn's project, released into the Jedi Order, maybe some sleeper spy that was never activated or utilized? And if so, since the command phrase didn't work, does that mean he mutated and out grew the coding...or is he really Jaden, and there's another prime out there?

So many questions. Definitely hoping Kemp's duology is a Jaden duology, but I have a feeling it's going to either be something new, or more TOR stuff. Since Karpyshyn is doing another TOR novel, they'll probably want some more to go along with it. Wouldn't surprise me if that's where the duology fits in.
