Having just finished the Rogue Squadron comics, the question begs... why?
Stackpole, and to a lesser extent Zahn, are really the only authors I'd like to see give her some background. But what does it matter? She'd already be married to Fel anyway at this point in the timeline, really making the whole plot of the book rather moot. Why shoehorn one character into everything? |
When the book was announced, all we knew was that it was called HOLOSTAR. Nothing about the actual plot was known back then. So a lot of people began to speculate that it was about Wynnsa, the most famous holostar in the GFFA. Which would make sense.
So when it came out that it was about random new character and Dash Render, well, I was disappointed. The same way I'm disappointed that Tionne wasn't used in Scourge instead of a brand new character. While I want the development of new characters in the FotJ era, it's depressing that characters we already know are forgotten when they could be involved in really cool stories themselves (especially when going back in the timeline).
