Okay, I just watched Empire for the first time in a long time and felt like sharing the bloopers I noticed. A couple I already knew about, and the other two I just noticed today.

1. When Luke is dueling Darth Vader in Cloud CIty, there's a part when he jumps off the carbon freezing platform. He quite obviously lands on a trampoline, cause his head reappears a moment later in the bottom lefthand corner. You can even hear that suppressed 'sproing' that those little trampolines make. It's got to be my second favorite blooper of the OT...so major, and yet it's still there. Smile

2. When Luke is leaving Dagobah, he climbs a ladder into his X-Wing. I was wondering how he was going to get rid of the ladder before he took off, but the film crew took care of that for him, because the ladder is suddenly missing in the next shot when he closes the canopy.

3. I'm not sure if you can call this a blooper, but when the inhabitants of Cloud City are fleeing, the last man in line is carrying a very obvious ice cream maker. Thought that was funny. Smile

4. Also not a blooper, but an observation: In ANH, the docking bay in the Death Star that the Falcon is tractored into is docking bay 327. In Empire, the Cloud City platform that the Falcon lands on is platform 327. And if you want to get really picky, the trash compactor on the Death Star is 3263827. Close enough. Smile

And I thought I was a Star Wars fan. I can't believe I'd never noticed at least two of those things before! How about everybody else?

Just curious, which ones of those had you never noticed before? Somehow, I've never even heard discussion of the trampoline one, but I knew about the ice-cream maker. In fact: http://www.geocities.com/ocb75/

A whole site dedicated to him, and TOS gave him a databank entry. Very Happy He has many followers and fans.

Wow, never knew he had such a following! That's crazy. Smile

The ones I'd never noticed before were the one with the ladder and the similarities with 327. I've known about the trampoline one for years. And once you notice his head pop back up, you'll always wonder how you never caught something so obvious before! It's just like the Stormtrooper in ANH who bumped his head. I never saw him til somebody mentioned it to me, and now I'll never not see it. Smile

Here, I shall provide you with two screenshots:

Jumping down:

Popping back up:

It's easier to see in the movie, because it's actual movement. And this is rather dark. But check it out, it's at about the 1 hour 45 minute mark. Smile

Edit: I just read that whole page about the ICMG. It's hilarious! I absolutely love The Baskin Robbin. Very Happy

Thanks for the link, OMB!

I don't know if this counts as a blooper but on my Star Wars movie character poster, they put JtH/JDT's homeworld as Tatooine.

How 'bout during the battle scene in TPM where Padme's foot slips out from under her?

I don't remember that one.

How about in AOTC, when Anakin is fighting the Geonosians on the conveyor belt, and it looks like his cloak gets caught on his lightsabre blade?

ok this one has always puzzled me but in TPM when obi wan and maul r dueling obi wan is hangin on down the shaft but jumps up over the head of maul and kills him wiv maul having the higher ground but in ROTS where vader and obi wan r dueling obi wan tells vader not to jump as he has the higher ground and would easily kill him. surely that should hav been the case in TPM as obi wan jumps over maul maul could hav easily sliced obi wan before he landed.

The difference between the two was the Maul was becoming cocky, and didn't think Obi Wan was a threat, whereas Obi Wan, in Episode III, kept a level head, and didn't underestimate Anakin, and was expecting an aerial attack.

In Jedi Lando has something on one shoulder when talking to Han and the next scene it swiches shoulder then back again

IN ANH when the stormtroopers enter where the droids are one bangs his head on the door.
