A I play on my laptop and the keys and trackpad are fine, just takes getting used to.

Q: Has anyone played the TOR beta yet and seen any cool references to the KOTOR comics?

I haven't played, but I hear tell of a Carrick Station ...

EDIT: Just saw your post in the KOTOR - War thread. This was purely coincidental!

Q: Would the 1990s Windows based PC game series like X-Wing and Dark Forces work OK on a Windows Vista laptop or Windows XP desktop?

I have Dark Forces through Steam on my Windows 7 laptop, and it works fairly well.

I was able to get X-Wing and TIE Fighter (Windows 95 versions) working on a Windows Vista desktop. But I needed to download some files to help make it work. Google something like "running X-Wing on Windows Vista", and look for anything related to Windows version (X-Wing and TIE Fighter also came out for DOS, and apparently that's easier to install using a DOS emulator).

You will need a joystick though. You can't play X-Wing with a mouse.
