Christmas!

As some of you may know; tis the season to be jolly.

You can use this thread discuss all things Christmas; what you want, where you're spending it, what you'll be doing etc.

Oh, and once you've got your presents, you can tell us and post pics if you want! And you can retell stories from Christmas' past.

I'm going to be having Christmas living in my house for the first time in ten years!

Its our first christmas in the new house we bought back June! We already got out tree up (the area we get a permit to cut a tree started last week). This is also going to be the first christmas my son gets the idea of presents. We've been shopping deal sites for months and have a good stash built up for him.

Right now I am excited to get a ladder so I can hang lights on the house. We bought over 100 feet of LED lights for the outside on black friday.

Having Christmas in my parents house for the first time since 2006.

One of most memorable christmas was back in 1984 when I got the Millennium Falcon and an assortment of figures. In 1986 I got G1 Optimus Prime which was very exciting too.

Its always a great time of year to be with friends and family.

I'm having a hard time getting in the Christmas spirit this year. Not in a 'bah humbug' sort of way, but in a 'meh' sort of way. I've been doing the usual Christmas rituals, but something feels off.

Got the Christmas tree up, the Christmas reef, and some misc decorations. Almost done with Christmas shopping. Now I'm just waiting for the snow. Doesn't feel like Christmas without snow.

This christmas is gonna b a chaotic one, ive got all my family and my fiancees family coming rnd my house for christmas dinner,so gonna hav to cook loads of dinners plus wash up a load of dishes, also my kids will most likely get spoilt wiv loads of new toys as usual.

So I was out shopping (I hate malls at Christmas with a fiery vengeance) and "Baby, It's Cold Outside" (one of my least favourite songs in the world) was playing and I was on the verge of muttering "Bah, humbug!" when suddenly I heard "Christmas Canon" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. That song may have single-handedly put me in the Christmas spirit. Cool

I've had a vague Christmassy feeling since October, I think - but where those feelings were vague and unformed, it now definitely feels like Christmas. But, the thing is, I feel apart from it. Not not in the Christmas spirit, for I certainly feel Christmassy, myself, but it's more a case of it not seeming to be Christmas. Maybe because I've cut down my socialising quite a bit, and so I'm not experiencing 'true Christmas'? Not really sure. Anyway, I've got most of my shopping done. Just a few things left.
