Finished the book, and absolutely loved it!

First, though, there was some clunkiness to the writing, but it was only on the rare occasion that it impacted my reading at all, so it wasn't that bad.
Beyond that, I don't really have a problem with it. There were so many small, almost self contained, throw-away sentences which didn't do much to impact the story, yet it was these that I spent the majority of my time thinking on, because they had a surprising amount of depth to them. Too, since it was written by Karpyshyn, it added a bit more weight to them, since he's working on TOR and those little sentences could come into effect in the upcoming game.
But I did find myself adrift when it shifted to the Exile's point of view. It was written in a way that no extra information was needed to understand, so if you hadn't played the games, you wouldn't feel like an idiot - but I have played the games, and because I struggled to remember what had happened in the second, I felt confused, as I tried to piece everything together. But that's not the book's fault, but my poor memory's.
I was very impressed with the ending, a bittersweet moment. I had thought that Revan would die at the end, but to my surprise he didn't. What's more, I think I was the first to call out that ending in this thread:

| You know, I have a feeling Revan will be shown to be in stasis the whole time, up to the TOR game. The Emperor was shown to be young in the web comics, and that he wanted a sort of perfect army (or something like that). |
Tada! I also said something about the Emperor feeding off of him, but I forgot to pick that up on the way here. Though that, too, makes me sad, because I have a feeling that Revan will be in TOR, and meet his end in that game. And I won't be able to play it!
Oh! And poor T3! Okay, so my thoughts are rather jumbled at the moment. I may pop back sporadically to talk more.
